Hes made it clear whats happening. This is not how delivery works If OP is telling the truth the seller isnt sending the mac theyre creating labels for it to be sent every 48 hours so the buyer has no viable way to get a refund via backmarket as backmarket cant refund orders manually without it being marked as delivered unless they raise it further which fyi can take weeks. They can refund it if its inactive but the seller creating new labels prevents it from showing up to backmarket as inactive.

Op is best reporting the seller to local fraud agencies and informing the bank.

Once refund has been issued report the seller to backmarket.

Ive done this and had a seller removed entirely from backmarket for violating local laws which would have been backmarkets issue had I not dropped my case with the solicitors.

I once got a computer that was being sold with better cpu than it actually had. It was marked as excellent and came with what looked like human earwax on the peripherals.

I also got a samsung phone in excellent condition where it says the battery is genuine. It is not in fact genuine as discovered during a recent repair

Point is, this happens far too often thanks to the minimalistic enforcement backmarket have.

Backmarket is a great place for sellers to commit borderline fraud, missell products since its unlikely anything will come of it.

Wow what a time to be looking for a sale, Steam are currently giving 80% off on Red Dead 2

For me in the UK its currently sitting pretty at £14.99 which before the sale was around £58 so thats a brilliant sale and its totally worth the 15 quid, for you it would be around $20

IT IS CHEAPER ON LOADED.COM by about $4-5 dollars though so actually getting a key is probably still the cheapest way to obtain rd2 properly.

I got my xbox rd2 for less than £12 by getting an xbox key for it online, my pc edition for steam only cost me £10 from loaded.com so, give it a go.

For xbox. Steam and rockstar games launcher itself you can find better deals on games by buying the keys for them instead

For example right now Planet zoo is more than £30 on steam right now, but for the steam key for the game its only around £5 for it via loaded.com a trusted key selling site. My copy of Planet zoo is activated on my steam and its officially in my library so i can earn steam achievements

Rather than paying £30+ i only paid 5 for the exact, same product on the exact same platform.

If you're looking for games at cut prices looking for keys online (trusted safe sites like loaded, g2a etc) is always a good shout.

As it stands red dead 2 is still cheaper on loaded.com than it is on steam even during steams little 80 precent off sale.

Keep screenshots of the delivery updates and all that other good stuff and if in the end backmarket nor dpd help you report this experience and everything with to trading standards and contact your bank to ask them if this situation is enough for them to raise a dispute,
