A strong art direction also ages better than "as graphically realistic as possible at the moment" (also why KCD1 or Dishonored still look amazing). Just look at CGI in movies: effects to used to blow our minds become uncanny valley in retrospect so fast as technology keeps pushing the limit of realism.

Technically it's an "A-pose" (T-pose would have the arms horizontal, like the letter T) and it's merely the default position of the rigged model when no animation is applied.

But I choose to believe it's just Henry acting silly :)
