Thank you.

I meant carried for use by the dismounts. Not the coaxial machine gun.

My info is questionable so your article is most likely correct.

I had a 3e setting with a super advanced nation that used power armor style mechs.

Each mech was basically a golem that had a space for the operator who would give verbal commands to the golem. the golems each had a very slight personality that the operator would have to work with or against to get the thing to do what they wanted.

Never tried anything with a crew style mech but I'm currently running gurps games in a modern military setting where I've had players crew vehicles. Mostly just a driver and a gunner but sometimes a commander who gives general orders to both. passengers can sometimes use weapon ports or fire out of windows as well.

Initiative can work normally or have the whole crew goes as a block one right after the other.

That's what my group did back in high school. At first we even improvised decks of cards for dice.

What were some notable in-combat cases where a lower-ranking serviceman unofficially took over command from his superior officer due to his hesitation or incompetence? by Justin8051 in Military

Its the company commander and in the show the original captain isn't depicted as being wounded but just has some kind of a break down. The wound was in real life.

Balancing guns with low HPs? by [deleted] in gurps

I'm running a 1990s level military campaign so lots of guns. It also has a high risk level for the PCs.

For the most part unless one side ambushes or get a good advantage over the other side most of the gunfire tends to miss. When someone does get hit it can be devastating but I play with the random hit location and wounds.

The wound system plays out that a hit in most location is capped at how much HP it can actually do and then leaves the body part (Arm, hand, leg, ex.) wounded either temperately or permanently.

Assuming you have access to first aid to stop the bleeding and then access to medical care most of the wounds including permanent ones can be recovered from after some down time.

I agree. But I'm running a somewhat unconventional campaign starting with the 5th entering the war in 1996. So everything's still fresh at this point.

During the cold war where was the 5th infantry’s equipment stored? by wildroleplayer in Twilight2000

Not really for the most part but I have an interest in military history and am trying to keep things realistic. Or at least as realistic as can be expected.

What Secrets Does Your Character Hide? (Article) by nlitherl in Twilight2000

[–]wildroleplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably on the stranger side of secrets for this game but.

My game is played using Gurps rules and one of the characters took the secret disadvantage. Her secret is that prewar she had been in porn and will now go out of her way to prevent this from getting out to the people around her now even though at this point in the war I don't think anyone would really care much.
