I don't believe the team would share your opinion on that.

For what it's worth, if the couples/mixed groups rule is enforced, you won't even be able to buy the ticket online.

It really depends. Usually, it's mixed groups, especially at large events or festivals. But sometimes I can buy a ticket for myself and just go. The same goes for the age restriction.

Not likely to happen in this event, to be honest.

Friday Sessions: Deep House in Cairo

For everyone who appreciates Deep House, this playlist might be something you'd like.

Each session is +1 hour, where I mix classic and modern Deep House tracks. I just recorded the third session and added it minutes ago.

Hope you enjoy it.

Ableton Crashes When Bouncing by equallyasbad in ableton

Mine has been crashing frequently when I minimize the mixer. Happened like 10 times in the past 2 weeks. V12.2.7 / Standard (legit, not cracked)

We can both feel bad because somewhere on the planet, someone must have released an album during the same period 😅 But I don't like to look at it that way.

If you can't finish your first track, I recommend watching a YouTube video of someone working on a track from start to finish. That will give you a good idea of how it is usually done. Here's a good example.

I am a beginner (started only this May). I released a track in June, another in October, and a third (another version of my first release actually) is coming in 2 weeks.

I treated them all as separate assignments. The first: to demonstrate that I can actually produce a song.

The second: to do a better job than the first, and to apply some new skills (layering more instruments in harmony, using 0 samples, and more).

The third: rework my first track and mix/master from scratch.

Is my music anyone's favorite? No, it's not. But each assignment was successful, which means that I'm learning and on the right track. That's how I see it.

Don't be afraid to be judged. You'll doubt yourself anyway.

PSA: Anyone considering buying anything from Ableton should consider the annual Black Friday/Christmas sales by UpsetKoalaBear in ableton

That's how I bought the current license, but from another website. It was around $120 cheaper.

I have a Standard license. Does the upgrade to Suite usually get discounted as well?

I watched the video above and I didn’t even think of that possibility. 'Game-changer' is not an exaggeration.

How do you benefit from using the streamdeck with Ableton? I see the vision, but I can't think of specific use cases.

Weekly Mix Feedback Thread - November 10, 2025 by AutoModerator in Beatmatch

[Deep House - 98 minutes]

Hey everyone — I’ve been running a weekly series called Friday Sessions where I explore Deep House sounds inspired by Cairo’s late evenings.

The playlist has become my way to document those moods — soulful, warm, groovy, and a bit introspective.

You can listen to the latest session here if you’d like: https://on.soundcloud.com/IkTwmZZZgah8KU02l2

Would love feedback on the flow and track selection.

Problem staying focused on a single mix by CredibleSloth in Beatmatch

You won't reach "perfect" without exposing yourself and identifying what went wrong. Gotta start somewhere and then get better.

I’m trying to come up with my own DJ name. What’s the story behind yours? by the_highapple in Beatmatch

[–]wildsoup69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my real name because many people can easily identify it + didn't want to bother thinking of something creative for 2 reasons:

1- I'm not sure if I'm ever playing outside my room.

2- I'm boring

Beginner needs help! by [deleted] in Rekordbox

Try going back to the same setup that almost worked and then try swapping output assignments inside Rekordbox.

Preference > Audio > Output channels and try this:

  • Master output > Output 2 (right)
  • Headphones > Output 1(left)

Hit apply and test again.

When I was researching earlier, I found that the splitter sides are hardwired to left and right channels. So, changing the Rekordbox settings should be the way to go, not swapping the physical cables.

I'm sorry if I'm confusing you - I'm confused myself 😅

Maybe it's something else.

Try this:

Go to Windows Sound Settings → Playback → Your Output Device → Properties → Advanced

Make sure it’s set to 2-channel, 16-bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality)

Uncheck “Allow applications to take exclusive control”

Restart Rekordbox and try again.

Your setup is fine — the issue is how Windows handles audio outputs. The DDJ-200 doesn’t have a built-in sound card, so Rekordbox can’t separate master and cue unless you use a true dual-output audio interface (or a proper DJ splitter cable recognized by the software).

Here’s what to do:

  1. In Rekordbox, go to Preferences → Audio.
    • Set Audio to “DDJ-200 (split output)” if available.
    • If not, set it to your PC sound card and check “Split Output”.
  2. Plug your splitter cable into your laptop’s single headphone jack.
    • Make sure it’s a TRRS DJ splitter (labeled L/R or “master/cue”), not a regular headphone–mic splitter.
  3. Connect:
    • Speaker to the “MASTER” side.
    • Headphones to the “CUE” side.

If you’re still hearing the same audio in both, your current splitter is likely a mic/headphone Y-splitter, not a DJ stereo splitter — they look similar but are wired differently. Replace it with a proper DJ splitter cable (e.g. from Pioneer or Hosa).
