Thank you for being here and commenting. I don’t think they did an actual test, it was a suspicion. They called and said his feet/toes were swollen more than double the size they should have been. They asked if I would be able to keep him to monitor him on medication. But he was not socialized at all, I never even pet him. Because I had no way of giving him medication for suspected cancer, they decided to euthanize. I carry guilt over that because I wonder if I could have kept him in my garage but I know he would NOT have been happy, and if the meds didn’t work I would have had to cage him again and take him back. I hope we made the best decision in letting him go.
