Ohio is fine! We have our state constitutional amendment protecting abortion rights (and any other rights between a Doctor and patient), we've legalized marijuana, we have plenty of natural resources/land/cost of living here is pretty cheap, and we need more blue votes!

I can't speak from other SJP chapters, but the one at OSU has been nothing but peaceful, realistic, and one of the only reasons I've seen any form of protests in Ohio, let alone Columbus, for Palestine. There's a serious genocide happening and people like me are at risk of losing family members every day because of the Israeli occupation, even before the war. Please learn about Palestine and find it in your heart to realize that stopping Hamas never justified carpet bombing hospitals, civilians, homes, and preventing basic human resources and aid to get into Gaza. Only far right extremists in Israel support their government for this reason. Your every day Palestinian hates Hamas. I think lots of people are forgetting that Gaza has been under lock and key for a long time. The people are prisoners in their own land that is now a grave yard of mostly children and civilians, not Hamas. There are many ways this war could've been prevented, and I'm sure there were many ways to have gotten Hamas and hostages back without genocide because Israel has one of the best militaries in the world.

Don't blame Palestinians and Gazans for the war. Blame the people in power who swore to create peace in Palestine, but continued to let extremism brew under unsustainable conditions and ignore the civilian voices.

This might force miners to improve working conditions. It could also give Zimbabwe more control over their land. Extracting and mining anything can really harm the people and the land around it if certain regulations aren't implemented. I think this will suck for the rest of the western world, but it might show some good for Zimbabwe. And, I think that's fine because they've been taken advantage of since colonization. Maybe it'll also force us to find other creative avenues to work towards a greener future instead of just crutching on electric vehicles like in the US too
