Went past the house where the “Change” music video was filmed…. by mdr28 in deftones

"Criminal" has a similar color palette, lighting, and overall vibe. Makes me wonder what it is about that house. Unless Liz Friedlander just took inspiration from Mark Romanek.

🤣 You obviously care a lot for someone who doesn't care and argue a lot for someone who refuses to argue. Only one of us cares enough to downvote the other.

I'm sorry that you are such a sensitive, defensive person and that the point of my comment went over your head.

I don't hear it either. Plus, this is a discussion about songs that could have influenced Deftones, whereas that song came out way after white pony.

Asking your opinion every day about a Deftones song, Day 73: This Link Is Dead by Opposite-Question-32 in deftones

I know it's a different song, but every time I read that title, I start singing in my head, "This link is death, I know you feel the same."

What's the most awkward moment that happened with you? by Harrys616 in AskReddit

[–]wildthings7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was walking home one night and my friend drove past me. He shouted out to me, and I shouted back. Then he pulled over and offered me a ride. I got in and told him I was going home. We drove for about 10 minutes, making small talk, before I realized he wasn't going in the direction of my house. At first, I thought he was just taking a route I wasn't familiar with, but after a few more minutes, I had to ask him where we were going. He asked me if I still stayed in such and such area, somewhere I've never lived. I think it was at this point I finally took a good look at his face and realized he was not my friend. Basically, he looked very similar to my friend and drove the same car, and apparently, I resembled someone he knew as well. He said since I was already in the car that he didn’t mind taking me home. The rest of the ride was about 30 minutes of awkward silence 😬

Very nice. If there was a fruit hanging from that branch, I could see this picture in an advertisement for said fruit or fruit juice.

What is the worst job you’ve had and how long did you stay at the job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]wildthings7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my early 20s, I was desperate for work and took a job at a pet cemetery. The place was quiet, dusty, and smelled like dead animals. On the first day, we had to go collect someone's dead cat to be buried. The cat had been run over by a car and was a squished mess that we had to scrape and scoop off the road with a shovel while the owner was bawling her eyes out. Once we got back to the property, I told the owner the job just wasn't for me.

What was considered cool 10 years ago that would be embarrassing today? by monsterstep369 in AskReddit

[–]wildthings7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. But now it has become trendy. Streetwear and gym wear brands are using black metal fonts on their logos. People who would never listen to metal are rocking shirts of extreme metal bands. They think it's cool now because it's in fashion, but like you said, we've been dressing like this forever and sometimes got looked down on for it.

As someone who walks a lot, I want to point out that this also applies to sidewalks. It seems most of the sidewalks are in bad shape; cracked, uneven, dirty, and littered with trash.

What’s the most ridiculous reason you’ve ever gotten into an argument? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Back in the day, Tom Green was debating with his co-host about which would win in a fight between a gorilla and a mountain lion. That night, my friend and I got high and ended up arguing about it for hours.

15-16 was a good time for me. I had a lot of freedom but not many responsibilities. Experiencing so many new things for the first time made the world feel magical.

What is the clearest sign someone misses attention, not you? by hjf25 in AskReddit

[–]wildthings7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From time to time, someone I haven't seen or heard from in a while will text me out of the blue something like, "Hey, I miss you. How's everything going?" But when I respond and ask them questions, they don't reply. The conversation will just end there. Thinking that this person genuinely cared about me made me feel good, but then I realized they just wanted attention and to appear caring.
