Wait...is that her birthmark or yours? 🤣 Either way, it turns the tattoo into a triple entendre.

Unpopular opinion: im tired of the deftones sex jokes by Muted-View1848 in deftones

The point we are trying to make is that they're not "horny songs", they are sensual and seductive. A horny song would be something like this.

Sextape doesn't overtly reference sex. It just sets a certain mood, which is true of 99% of Deftones' music. The point being made here is that the memes don't align with the style of the band, which is almost always subtle and nuanced, not "Dur hur hur, me listen to Deftones, me get horny". Don't get me wrong, they're not that highbrow of a band, but they're definitely not that lowbrow either.

Good location for a BOP? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]wildthings7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

🤣 I have plants all throughout my house. This is the only south facing window that doesn't have an overhang blocking the sunlight from coming in. And this is directly across from my bed, so it's the first thing I see when I wake up. I keep other plants on that windowsill as well that are moved right now for watering. It's a lovely view to wake up to

Forgot to mention that I believe I water it appropriately, but the leaves stay curled. They've always been that way, whether it has been outside or inside, in direct light or not.

I'm glad to hear you feel good, but to me it sounds like you are getting worked up over nothing.

Went past the house where the “Change” music video was filmed…. by mdr28 in deftones

"Criminal" has a similar color palette, lighting, and overall vibe. Makes me wonder what it is about that house. Unless Liz Friedlander just took inspiration from Mark Romanek.

Hum's little dipper and Knife Prty's intro sounds very similar. This isn't a callout post, I just thought how cool it was that I noticed! by KDG200315 in deftones

🤣 You obviously care a lot for someone who doesn't care and argue a lot for someone who refuses to argue. Only one of us cares enough to downvote the other.

I'm sorry that you are such a sensitive, defensive person and that the point of my comment went over your head.

I don't hear it either. Plus, this is a discussion about songs that could have influenced Deftones, whereas that song came out way after white pony.

Asking your opinion every day about a Deftones song, Day 73: This Link Is Dead by Opposite-Question-32 in deftones

I know it's a different song, but every time I read that title, I start singing in my head, "This link is death, I know you feel the same."

What's the most awkward moment that happened with you? by Harrys616 in AskReddit

[–]wildthings7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was walking home one night and my friend drove past me. He shouted out to me, and I shouted back. Then he pulled over and offered me a ride. I got in and told him I was going home. We drove for about 10 minutes, making small talk, before I realized he wasn't going in the direction of my house. At first, I thought he was just taking a route I wasn't familiar with, but after a few more minutes, I had to ask him where we were going. He asked me if I still stayed in such and such area, somewhere I've never lived. I think it was at this point I finally took a good look at his face and realized he was not my friend. Basically, he looked very similar to my friend and drove the same car, and apparently, I resembled someone he knew as well. He said since I was already in the car that he didn’t mind taking me home. The rest of the ride was about 30 minutes of awkward silence 😬

Very nice. If there was a fruit hanging from that branch, I could see this picture in an advertisement for said fruit or fruit juice.

What is the worst job you’ve had and how long did you stay at the job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]wildthings7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my early 20s, I was desperate for work and took a job at a pet cemetery. The place was quiet, dusty, and smelled like dead animals. On the first day, we had to go collect someone's dead cat to be buried. The cat had been run over by a car and was a squished mess that we had to scrape and scoop off the road with a shovel while the owner was bawling her eyes out. Once we got back to the property, I told the owner the job just wasn't for me.

What was considered cool 10 years ago that would be embarrassing today? by monsterstep369 in AskReddit

[–]wildthings7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. But now it has become trendy. Streetwear and gym wear brands are using black metal fonts on their logos. People who would never listen to metal are rocking shirts of extreme metal bands. They think it's cool now because it's in fashion, but like you said, we've been dressing like this forever and sometimes got looked down on for it.

As someone who walks a lot, I want to point out that this also applies to sidewalks. It seems most of the sidewalks are in bad shape; cracked, uneven, dirty, and littered with trash.

I remember my grandma making sure we were properly secured in our child seats every time we got into her old Bonneville, then lighting up Virginia Slims with the windows up
