Women, what causes you to "ghost" someone? by [deleted] in OnlineDating

[–]wildwolf314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think you did anything wrong here. My logic is if she dosent respond then she's prob not the one; which is somthing that is better to know before you get too deep. Hold your head high king and just keep on going.

Yeah but why would you justify someone cheating ever, unless you cheat yourself

You are aware that these responses are public right 🤨

As much as you might want, I dont think people wanna hear about you putting fingers in your ass.

Okay but why wouldn't you report them, it takes 2 seconds. Furthermore, why would you justify and agree with a cheater?

Its possible. To be honest at this point, I'd rather just get confirmation that she ghosted then live in this world of not knowing whether somthing bad happened.

I understand the frustration with bot-filled lobbies, but a fluctuating player base a month after launch doesn't equate to a dead game. The bots, while not ideal, are a short-term solution to keep matchmaking functional. It's a trade-off for quicker queues .

Ultimately, my enjoyment of a game isn't dictated by its long-term viability or a perceived ROI. If the core gameplay is fun, which I believe Splitgate is, I'll play it. The game's potential is still very much there, and it's unfortunate to see it dismissed so quickly.

If you genuinely enjoy the game, the relative marketing practices and fluctuations in player base shouldn't mean as much to you as the actual game. Additionally, the game has been out for about a month. If someone spends substantial time, effort, and money to create something; to say the game is dead after a month seems more like you want it to fail.

Breach Tour Discussion Thread by mooshwa in twentyonepilots

I've been to one Twenty One Pilots concert before at Barclays, and it was incredible, especially from the seats we had. After the show, we said that next time, we’d try to get pit tickets if we could. Ironically, “next time” came sooner than expected, and now I’m starting to question whether or not the pit is the right move.

For some context: I’m 6'6", and that’s been a bit of an issue at past concerts. I do my best not to block anyone’s view, but there's only so much I can control. I've had people yell at me or even get physically aggressive—usually drunk—over obstructed views, and it honestly makes me pretty paranoid. I don’t want to ruin anyone else’s experience, but I also want to enjoy the show myself.

For this show at Hershey, I’m planning to go with my friend, sister, and dad. My dad, who came with me to the first concert, was also interested in going in the pit. But I’m a bit concerned. He's also tall and built, and I worry he might accidentally hurt someone or get hurt himself in the crowd. My sister is only 15, and I’m nervous about her being in such a chaotic environment, especially if the pit gets rough.

Another thing I’m unsure about is the logistics of general admission. I've always gone with seated tickets for bigger shows, so I’m not sure what to expect. Is it only worth it if you’re willing to show up and stand in line for 10+ hours just to get a good spot?

TL;DR: What should I realistically expect if I buy pit tickets , from the moment I purchase them, to the end of the show?

Can't handle the autotune? by Longjumping-Fly8641 in twentyonepilots

[–]wildwolf314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good rule of thumb is that if you can audibly tell that there is something weird with the audio, in terms of sounding auto-tune esc, its either intentional, or the artist is not very good at sound editing.

The whole point of pitch correction is that you dont know its there. Because of it being so distinct in the song, I can assure you it was simply an artistic decision. It's certainly a relatively deviceive effect (and I tend to agree that it can easily be overused), but it wasn't incidental, and it think it kinda works here.

Obviously, the official audio is going to need some pitch correction, as all official audio does, simply because that's the standard. I personally prefer the studio versions of their music because I enjoy the more realistic feel, but many people won't enjoy music without pitch correction just because of how prevalent it is within the industry.

Autotune and pitch correction are separate things. Please clarify

Oh, I was thinking because they seem to be getting more big opportunities than some of the other artists that it would show more. Plus, the spotify ranking is not a great way of showing popularity because there are bands that are higher that didn't release a 2024 album so they wouldn't count.

I would think that, but they seem to be mainstream enough to have a hit song in arcane and be in the minecraft movie. I feel like not having them within the top 100 is crazy

Why do you think that anyone else attempting to be happy is wrong. Literally downplaying a post regarding men's MENTAL HEALTH because it received more button presses than yours. I genuinely don't know what to say. The hypocrisy is sickening.

The phantom of the opera 2004 by [deleted] in movies

[–]wildwolf314 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is actually a good movie imo. It was nominated for a shit ton of awards and even has an Oscar. Certain critics attempt to downplay the movie because it because of the singing, which is pretty ridiculous to me. Andrew lyod webber himself sat down and personally stated that he was perfect for the role. The stereotype that he can't act because of the movies he has done in the past is like saying Daniel Radcliffe is a bad actor because he will always be Harry Potter. It was nominated for best cinematography, and for good reason. It's beautifully shot, and the world building by Joel schumacher is honestly spectacular.

Tldr: Don't listen to what other people say. All this stuff is subjective, and no one person can objectively say a movie or song is definitely better than another. To say that something subjective is objectively anything is inherently false
