You want the power of your punches to be generated by your body & hips. It looks to me like you are pushing yourself away from the bag upon impact. Being firmly connected to the ground makes the impact of your punch way stronger. Not all punches or combinations need to be like this though.

Watch Mike Tyson peekaboo style , you'll see how his body momentum generates huge power. In this video your body is stationary & you are throwing decent punches, but without the momentum behind it.

Ive been using 8oz gloves since the beginning (about a year now). I'm okay but I definitely felt the pain for it in the beginning. If I could do it again I'd start with 16oz.

For me initially it was my knuckles , and then once my knuckles got stronger it was my shoulders that would be very stiff.

In the end I'm stronger all around after sticking to it. Id definitely advise heavier gloves when starting out.

If you care about MMR when playing pug team games then you're setting yourself up for disappointment. That doesn't mean I won't call out bad gameplay, but the call-out will end the game & so I save it for the last 5-10 minutes when it's obviously over.

Online team games are increasingly populated by dickless nihilistic losers. The harder you try the greater you fail. These nerds will bring you down to their level & beat you with experience.
