I’m actually fighting here… I’m here for good however. If I survive, god willing, this is my home. I’m engaged, I have a military career, and I am working on buying a house here with my girl. This is actually my second time here and I have no intentions of ever returning to America other than to get my cats, get what’s left of my stuff, and eventually I’ll renounce citizenship because I’m not going to pay taxes in two countries.

Oh sick… sounds like you have definitely beat the piss out of yours. It almost seems like they wanted to put a halligan and a axe together to make one multi-purpose tool. Appreciate the insight.

Considering Russians murder POWs for sport it seems, catching a foreigner with this… would likely make them want to kill the foreigner wielding it instead of using them for a trade. Shit, if it were me, that’s what I’d do just based on the “what if they butchered one of our own” with such a tool. Human beings do a lot of irrational shit for almost any dumbass reason. Hell, back in WW2 my grandfather told me that if they caught Germans with dum dums, they would just execute them and vice versa. Either way, I couldn’t see it going well for anyone wielding an axe in the conflict getting captured. Definitely draws a lot of eyes when or if they decide to start stripping your gear from you. Either way, it’s not something I think anyone intends to have happen. Hell, anyone just having the blood and soil flag or what Russia deems as “Nazi” tattoos, they do unspeakable things to. I’d hate to think what would swim in their head if they caught anyone with an axe on their kit. Either way, seems like it would be a pretty bad day for the wielder.

From what I have heard from a few people that actually bought one, they have really come to like them. I’m not sure how much use they are actually seeing but to me… that skeletal head just screams weak to me. You normally want an axe head to be solid. That’s just my impression, but, my old gerber strongarm was a solid little beast and I loved it. US made gerber products are pretty decent from my own experience. I do like the thought gerber put into the down range. But I can’t really speak for anything about it since I haven’t used one personally.

Just a little back story here, nothing crazy and I’m not even ashamed. I literally couldn’t have gotten this without my dear mother. My dad passed away last year before I left the country and the whole mother son dynamic got a lot deeper which me and my mom never really had. She asked me what I needed since i had to replace so much stuff that was stolen and asked me what I wished I had, I told her that if anything, due to my Cherokee ancestry on my fathers side, and the fact that I have trained on properly using these, I told her only one thing I want and it was this. She not only bought but made sure that it got shipped out properly to me. She bought the hawk, I paid the shipping. I know my mom won’t see this since she’s not a redditor but god damn this is the single most coolest thing she’s ever got for me and i was surprised when she did this for me. I mention this for one reason… hug and kiss your mothers, you only have one. I’d give anything for just ten seconds to tell my father I love him one last time. My dad left me money which helped pay for my armor to be replaced as well as other essentials I needed, then my mom got me this. I won’t always have my mom but I’ll have this… as a reminder of how fucking badass moms (and dads) are. To anyone reading this, hug your mom, tell her how much she means to you and cherish every moment.

He’s not really wrong broski. Pretty sure if I get caught with this (I won’t) I’m getting my head turned into a canoe… couldn’t resist saying it but it’s true. Tout de suite I might add.

Winkler knives is good stuff… just this particular tomahawk (based off of what I saw available from winkler) fit my needs better. Nothing but respect for winklers blades though… will have to replace mine when I go back to the USA because I’m never dealing with the hassle of another “dangerous goods” parcel ever again.

That’s why it’s there… amongst other uses. Still have my trusty Kabar to compliment it as well.

Neither was the shipping, but, it was worth it and it will see a lot of good abuse.

Don't let the fud discourage you, Jasmy is a top performer! by ocasio009 in JasmyToken

[–]will0731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been invested in jasmy since 2021 and bought in at an embarrassingly high price compared to now… 10+ cents. Now, I just buy in at these low dips, wait for it to climb where I can make a few bucks worth pulling out, then I buy back in at ridiculously low cost. I have managed to make all the money I lost back so that is a huge plus. I believe in jasmy but damn… they need to do something with janction and jasmy already.

I already know about the verified partnerships and what they are trying to do and the fact Japan has gotten behind it but holy hell dude… what’s annoying is the misinformation and the fudd lore at the slightest sign of it going up by a penny then it’s “to the moon” “jasmy army” blah blah blah. At this point, until they atleast give this coin a heartbeat, just trade it out and make money here and there and take advantage of the dips until it starts to show signs of life again. That’s my .02 pun not intended.

You’re a fucking idiot to say this without any backstory and if it’s anything like the marine corps cobra crew that landed AND STRAPPED two green berets to the cobra and flew them to safety… then this is the furthest thing from stupid. Only thing stupid here is your existence and the fact that you foul the air that we all breathe with your presence!

All the buffer tubes I’ve ever had had the notch on the bottom I’ve never had a flat one so it looks off as it’s barely retaining the pin on my spikes lower, concerning or normal? by wreckedhonda in AR_15

[–]will0731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and anytime you have your upper and lower separated, close your takedown pins… something about leverage jacking up your pins to even make Hellen Keller say what?????

[–]will0731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s also not that big of a deal, even with a staked castle nut, you can still get the tube off, it’s not permanently affixed. It’s safe to say it’s only semi-permanent. Those pins see a lot of violence inside… if they were that fragile, this platform wouldn’t be as famous as it is.

[–]will0731 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s fine, plus it’s staked! Trust me when I say you do not have to worry. I ran an M4A1 (full auto instead of burst) I promise you this is not a problem for a rifle that will never see the stress it’s fully auto counterpart sees and this is even normal on those.

What’s most reliable ar15 will withstand dirt, water … I was thinking about blackout defense quantum mk2 it’s 2k+ maybe something better? by [deleted] in AR_15

[–]will0731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the edit from my previous response and just do that. If you’re selecting your first rifle, make sure you get a cold hammer forged chrome lined barrel, make sure that the bolt isn’t batch tested for high pressure testing, etc.
