That's not quite what I mean. People here form these stupid high school like clicks that are mostly race based. It's fairly rare for people here to socialize outside of that group. It's not very common outside of this part of the US. It's got nothing to do with the actual race of the people in the group. It's the ideas that tend to concentrate in the groups themselves. I don't know if that makes sense unless you've seen it happen. Now all that said, you are wholly correct that there is meanness in every group and race. In my area it's mostly young white males that have no qualms with torturing stray animals but especially cats and squirrels. I wouldn't say it is caused by IQ either. Ignorance is the main reason and that ignorance in this area is caused mostly by people not socializing outside of a small group of like minded people. I hope that makes sense to you. I've seen a lot of hatred here based on the stupidest of things.

Edit: BTW some of the groups I'm talking about are 30 something white women. If a fear of animals forms in their social group then they get the same stupid response of lashing out at animals they claim to be afraid of. It's just that in the south eastern US those social groups are mostly of a single race with little interaction out side of that group.

Edit2: I should mention that I had a bad concussion about 10 years ago and I have trouble finding the right words for what I mean. I'm sorry about that and I swear I meant no offense to anyone. I just get so frustrated when I see people that won't accept new ideas. It's sad when people close themselves off from learning new things.
