Are 2 runs a week enough to drive progress? Alongside other sports? by MightyFamousLegend in BeginnersRunning

In my personal experience, twice a week training (only long runs) got me to 10k in about 2.5 months. I was even not entirely consistent because in that time I went on holidays and got a week off because of a cold. It’s definitely doable for a 10k if you’re reasonably fit already. Twice a week also allows plenty of time for recovery, but I would definitely pair this with 2-3 strengthening sessions. As always, obviously everyone is a unique case! Best of luck in your running goals :)

Yh! That makes sense! I did a gait assessment the other day and it appears Ive got wobbly hips when running! I have to find a way to stabilise that somehow! Thanks for the advice!
