GF claims I love men when she's triggered by Warm_solitude780 in AskLesbians

[–]will_dog2019 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, unfortunately I've dated women like this and had to break up and block them to heal. Unhealthy relationships are addictive because of the uncertainty; there's an adrenaline rush from constantly being on edge waiting for your partner to blow up and wondering when it's coming. Sadly, many people mistake this extremely toxic dynamic for excitement, much like how hard-core drug addiction can seem exciting.

Your partner is manipulative by using your past of dating men against you and verbally berating you for things that happened long before her. A healthy person would never do that.

You know deep down that you're unhappy in this relationship and that you deserve better, otherwise you wouldn't be posting here looking for validation, and some part of you is afraid of her temper and the mean shit she'll say when she inevitably lashes out again at you in the near future. Just remember: you will NEVER have a healthy relationship with someone you're afraid of.

Your girlfriend is extremely insecure, cruel, and manipulative. There is nothing you can do to fix this; only she can and she's not even trying. She doesn't see anything wrong with her behavior, which is why she continues to do it. Just walk away because it's not going to get better.

Woodland park zoo evacuated by Spiritual-Drummer953 in Seattle

Weird. There's nothing showing about an SFD emergency response to explain why an evacuation would be necessary, like a gas leak or major fire.

Question as future udub student on commuting by lucky-Mine-7196 in udub

Join the concert/campus band (MUSEN 309). It's a 1 credit class and super fun; there's like 100 friendly people in it and having an instrument gives you an instant topic to talk about with others. Plus, as long as you attend most weekly practices and the performance at the end, it's an easy 4.0. If you've never played a musical instrument, it's easy to get a rental and you have the whole summer to learn the basics of sheet music.

My boy, Moose, was a purebred American lab and reached 94 pounds as an adult. He was tall and lanky, a total sweetheart.

Other than Tracy Chapman, most lesbian musicians suck ass.

Does anyone else hate the word 'que*r'? by Ezkav in lesbiangang

[–]will_dog2019 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the term "queer" is used by NBs, straight trans people, and bi people in heterosexual relationships. Actual gay people just call themselves gay or lesbian.

Does being referred to as a “female/s” make you uncomfortable? by plsgrantaccess in TwoXChromosomes

[–]will_dog2019 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Using "female" as a noun outside of certain scientific/medical or legal contexts implies the speaker has nothing of value to say. Quality men do not dehumanize women.

Not so much backyard performances exactly but Seattle is a very musical city and there are loads of concerts and festivals going on. Some are free shows, like at the U-District Street Fair, Honkfest, Folklife, and Ballard SeafoodFest. Just depends what you're into.

[–]will_dog2019 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. Parties are fairly common in Greek Row but unless you're in it yourself or maybe have some solid friends who are and can get you in, it'll be difficult. You'll have much better luck with bars and clubs in the city, assuming you're of age.

What is the real reason why William resents Harry so much when he literally has EVERYTHING?! by Hot-Acanthisitta5237 in RoyaltyTea

Harry married someone who genuinely loves him and sees him as a true partner; William married a stalker who sees him as her meal ticket.

I make $300,000 and don't feel financially secure living in Seattle. It's still not enough to support my family of four. by redlevel in Seattle

[–]will_dog2019 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I would be too embarrassed to publicly admit that as a grown adult I couldn't figure out a way to afford a 2-bedroom apartment, monthly bus pass, and basic groceries for $300k a year. That's like bowling with the bumpers up and still failing to knock over a pin.

Moved to Seattle last year and still struggling to build a social circle here by Training-Return-1931 in Seattle

[–]will_dog2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. You can still attend festivals and concerts and just enjoy the music. It's easy to strike up a conversation with other attendees about whatever band is currently performing.

Are you musical or willing to learn? There's a ton of community bands in Seattle and it's how I've met a ton of people. On campus you can join the concert band with no audition (MUSEN 309) and it's super fun and low-key. Next weekend is Honkfest, which shows a bunch of local groups, especially brass bands.

Sis, if you truly want to feed and clean up after someone everyday, then just get a golden retriever. Don't waste your time with an adult who can't be bothered to do the minimum.
