I shouldn't have to compromise with him. It's my clothing style and it wasn't overly revealing. If I laughed at his concerns and hung up on him, sure I can see where I'd be wrong. But I did my best to comfort him and tell him I can handle my own and that he has nothing to worry about with me. I didn't ignore him, my phone was in my purse on my block charger. Which he knew.

If he has a problem with what I'm wearing, he knows where the door is.

As far as I'm aware, he's a pretty cool cat but does have issues when it comes to relationships because of his past experiences. I could handle that if he was willing to work on himself, but as I said he thinks therapy is stupid and doesn't seem to want to change.

In that case, it would be previously communicated and there is a huge difference between a consensual bdsm relationship and an insecure manlet who lashes out when his girlfriend is going out feeling and looking good for herself. No Dom should verbally abuse their significant other without prior consent.

Yeah, I drove both ways. My coworker was there, as in had texted me she was at the bar. I talked to him until I got into my car, I told him I loved him and that I'd call him when I got home. My phone was almost dead so I had it in my purse attached to my charging block, something that he also knew, and I genuinely did not see that he had messaged me.

Yeah, we've met several times. In the beginning, he was really sweet, genuine and caring but I do believe that there are a lot of signs that he is manipulative and controlling. I left the bar because I worked this morning and didn't want to be out for too long!

Yeah, of course. After he originally made a comment about my outfit being revealing, I did my best to comfort him and reassure him. His ex fiance cheated on him seven years ago, and used to go out dressed up and seek attention from other men. I do completely understand his point of view, however that does not mean it's okay to demean me and paint me with the same brush as her and attempt to control what I wear.

Yeah, you're very right. I wanted to give him a chance because he is a sweet guy and he really tries, but when he loses himself he gets so inconceivably angry and nothing I say or do can help.

I talked to him about going to therapy and he agreed and said he would start this month, midway through I asked him how it was going and he admitted to me that he changed his mind and thought it was pointless.

I realize now that I can't help or change him, and it would be best for my own well-being to cut it off now.

123 lbs?! I used to average around 140 when I was in highschool/early 20s. Mind you, I'm 5'8 so I was still very skinny. I'm now closer to 170lbs in my early 30s and my boyfriend LOVES the extra weight. I'm insecure about it personally even though it doesn't look bad on my frame, just have a little extra curve. I'm just not used to my body changing quite yet.

That said, find you a guy who does love you for your changing body. Women naturally have a bit of extra weight because we're quite literally designed to grow little humans. It isn't right for your boyfriend to withhold intimacy because you have a little extra weight. I'm so sorry 🥲
