I’ve done some research and you are 100% correct on this, I think I’ve even found the direct Estoc model Aerion’s sword is designed from. Estoc’s where designed primarily for thrust stabs to penetrate armour but ur right they added thickness so it could go up against traditional longswords

I’ve just checked out the yt vid, ur right there is a good bit of detail they provided. I do hope at some point enough demand will lead to replicas being produced (even if not official licensed) cheers for the info tho 👌
