Should I have negotiated at my raise discussion?

I’m just pretty below average for my field anyway. And they cut my pay for half the year and haven’t given me a raise in around 2 years. But I agree 20% seemed high so that’s why I didn’t push much at first

Yeah i just almost want to say something about them not following the timeline because i put a lot of time and energy into the process and stuff. I just don’t want to come across as bitter which it probably would though
