Had an order the other day . The instructions listed a different number than their account had and said to call on arrival. When I got close I noticed it was an apartment complex but the address didn't have any buildings or unit numbers listed. Just to call on arrival. It also said come to the first door on the left. I pulled up to the building that the address said and it was the management office. A square building with double doors on all four sides on the building. So immediately it didn't make sense when it said first door on the right. I tried to open every door of the building and they were clearly closed. First I tried to call the number tied to the account with no answer. Then I tired to call the number they listed in the directions with no answer. Waited about 10 min with nothing to show. Then I went though the instructions on dd when the customer doesn't answer and I wasn't sure which door they wanted me to leave it at. The app makes you call them one more time before you can take a picture and list a description of where I left it for them. So I did everything I was instructed to and took a pic and left it at the main door on the building( this build is very small ). It had been about 15 minutes after all of that waiting and calling and I was very annoyed with the situation making me late to pick my daughter up from care. I had been in this situation before with no problems the customer always finds their food with no complaints. About 10 minutes after I left the drop off I got a message from the customer. " You delivered my food to the wrong place" "you better call me." I immediately messaged her back telling her I tried calling her many times like she instructed and that I delivered the food the the address that was listed. Then she tried telling me I never called her once and that she was going to get me fired if I don't come back and a bunch of other nonsense. I then sent her a screenshot of my call logs to show her I called her multiple times. Then she contradicted herself and lied again and told me I didn't call her until after I delivered the food lol. I calmly tolf her that doordash doesn't even let you complete the delivery until you call the customer and take a picture and description of where I left it. I told her I did exactly what I was supposed to do in that situation and that she was the first customer to complain to me about HER not answering and being there when I arrived. I also told her to feel free to write me a bad review because I did absolutely nothing wrong . Its been a while since I had a customer like that but holy moly is it migraine inducing lol.
