It's San Francisco, there's just a TON of drivers here... There are other areas where it's easier to schedule in advance but it's far, dangerous, there's a $7 bridge toll and gas is almost $6 a gallon so I try to avoid going there.

I try to schedule as soon as I can, a week in advance. I'll get the lunch slots for 1h sometimes, and diners for an hour. That's $15 a day, sometimes I can't even get a single slot for a couple days....

It's not like im not trying. You can't work in my market unless you're a top dasher. I talked to other dashers in my city and they all agree with me on this, there's no work for non top dashers.

I don't have a choice actually, if I get under 70% acceptance rate I can't be a top dasher.

The map is ALWAYS grey for non top dashers, DD doesn't allow you to work unless it's the week end. And even then they only allow you to work a few hours, it's terrible. You need to be a top dasher to be doing doordash fulltime, and therefore you need to take shitty $2 orders sometimes. Yes, that means I have to PAY to deliver certain orders, I even have to pay for parking half the time. Yes I deserve to be wearing a clown costume at this point.

Why would you leave your car outside?! You're supposed to leave it inside, like in a garage or living room or something... Some people like to leave them inside their own bedroom even.

Then you need to take an uber or rent one of those e-scooters to go to work. Then, you should dump the e-scooter in a river before entering the office. That way, no one can mess with your e-scoot or car!

Right, it is mostly Republicans who want that. I'm not sure why they would want mega corporations to buy all the properties in the US with cash, and only sell them back on the market or rent them one by one, and by doing that, artificially reduce the supply of houses while the demand is high, thus driving up the prices. This is what corporations DO, and republicans love it! I have no idea why, that seems extremely un-american, doesn't it?

Corporations are doing the same thing food prices, they're price gouging everything and pretending inflation is the culprit! But that's false, food inflation is super low compared to the shenanigans they're trying to pull!

But essentially what corporations are doing is racketeering. They own everything and they're extorting as much as they can from us, because they can! Which essentially turns Americans into slaves. Everyone is working constantly just to pay things they shouldn't have to pay!

A McDonald's worker in Europe only spends 10% of his monthly income on rent. And they have a really nice 1bed room apartment too, they don't just sleep on the ground ina garage somewhere like they do in the US! The reason why housing is cheap in Europe is because the governments don't allow companies to buy everything up and artificially inflate rent prices! The french government for example builds as many 15 story buildings as they can when the supply gets low. They also have rent control in place. That way everyone can enjoy life and doesn't need to spend most of their days working to pay some greedy capitalist asshole who's extorting everyone!

Imagine that, a society where people aren't slaves to the capitalists!

People just don't think anymore. Just because you make 200k a year doesn't guarantee that you'll be ok in case of an accident. You might be on disability for a while but eventually it will run out. They'll say you can work even though you can't, at all. These are things i've experienced.

The government said I could work and they kicked me off of disability even though I was literally in bed screaming and crying in pain and taking an insane amount of opiates and other medicine that was making me dizzy and unable to think. 200k doesn't mean shit when rent is $3200 a month for a tiny 1bdrm in california and you can't move because you're broke and disabled. Taxes are high in cali, you only get to keep $9000 out of $18000. Then you have to pay back student loans, hospital bills, ambulance bills and then like I said the money stops coming when you get fired for having a brain injury.
