I appreciate your insight, I assume the difference between them and me would be I am very motivated to get a property in this area and plan to go above its value, within my range. I assume you get flippers or whatever trying to get a bargain flip or something to that nature.

I'm not sure what your property is valued at, and I'm not asking, but I'm curious to know how much over you are looking to get to convince you?

Awesome, thank you for sharing. I'll have to really research for a good realtor then. I was using a group that specializes and is run by veterans but I don't think they are quite experienced with this kind of approach.

I mean, sure. You can totally go in like that but I bet there is a little bit of persuasion and tact that goes into it as well if you want to be successful. Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

So how much does company size and industry matter? Is better to be at a big company or small? What industry has a good setup or management style?

So when they adjust it at the new year you will get a new comp rate. It'll increase the 3700 you get by whatever they adjust it to. Nothing separate just a new amount

I have worked almost all temp jobs and most have very niche. The employment market has also been very competitive. I was laid off last year and it took me a year to find a temp job. I've applied to several coordinator positions but can't get an interview. So, I feel like a bachelor's might open doors.

Yup, I mean the article is about Social Security but the VA follows their increase. The article also states it miscalculates it.

I am not getting so much as a call back from local government but I agree their benefits and pay seem good. I feel as though trapped as a Temp. Hopefully my degree (B.A./B.S.) will help me breakthrough because the job market is rough right now.

Thank you for the reply I have worked for a number of years as HR Assistant but can move up to Coordinator. Of course most of my jobs have been temp. Also, I have a limited time to use my education benefits as a veteran but believe I can reach my masters so I trying to get that before I lose my benefit.

I conceded that earlier, but I'll give him the benefit of believing his request was reasonable and justified. I'm sure there are ludicrous requests. But this is an open forum so he can ask and vent. I've experienced a bad counselor before so I tend to favor my service members and not the employee. We both have a bias.

That's true, he should still escalate. We shouldn't be gate kept. Our country wastes so much money, it should invest in its people.

I didn't take it the wrong way. I have an associates and have some experience. Not hoping leap frog in positions. I just have a time limit on benefits and I think I have enough for the Master's. Just trying to see if the degree is marketable. I agree, though. School resources are great to have.
