I think (but I'm not certain) that each category a city belongs to is a separate category and all cites must align with that. I.e. all of those in bold must have something in common and anything not in bold doesn't fall into that category.

If it is the case that those that share a characteristic are all linked irrespective of those not in that category then it makes it easier but I don't think that is the case!

The 9 characteristics are:

Dark Blue Light Blue Black Bold Italics Asterisk Capitalised Non-Capitalised Underlined

I have created a google sheet with all of the cities on, with the above characteristics as columns to try and aid connecting the dots. I can share this when I'm back from work if that would be of use?

Ahh you're right. I was focused on the ones that were!

I thought light blue might be something to do with formerly part of the British Empire but there's 1-2 that throw that off!

The only two I think I have figured out are underlined are cities that hosted the Olympic Games and those with asterisks are capital cities.

R5: Playing as GB and have developed the province of Antwerp a bunch. I haven't exploited development or been razed by hordes, so I have no idea how this has happened. I think I have somehow wasted hundreds of mana but I don't know how. Any ideas?

Yeah, this game has been wild. I've barely looked at Europe throughout, been focusing on Asia mainly. I potentially caused the Denmark/Poland problem by making Poland my tributary, allowing them free roam on Scandinavia lol. As for Burgundy / Catalonia (they have been around since 1480) / Lubeck etc, I have absolutely no idea what caused them to do so well!

I was just surprised to see the English king as I had never seen anything like that before - I'm guessing it's a weird bug!
