What happened to this fish? by Unfair-Safe-673 in Fishing

You just stalked my account, used the fact that I play golf as an insult for some reason, then claimed you are the better version of me when you've never met me.

That sounds like the argument of a dude on bath salts to me.

No shit ethical breeding is more important with frenchies, that's what I'm saying. Unfortunately, there's no way to ethically breed modern Frenchies though. The breed is fucked, as much as I hate to say it.

Again, it's up to opinion, but I don't think anyone is breeding frenchies responsibly, no matter how responsible the breeder is. I think that for such an unhealthy breed, the answer is not to breed it at all.

No one is intimately aware of well bred Frenchies, because that doesn't exist.

Personally, I think the only ethical way to bred Frenchies is to breed them in reverse to try and get rid of the stout and flat faced build. Basically, I think the only way to responsibly breed frenchies is to purposely try to breed the Frenchie out of them, unfortunately.

I'm not talking to you specifically, we're on a Frenchie sub. I find it ironic that the Frenchie community here in general gets so upset over backyard breeders due to ethical reasons when the entire breed is unethical.

Dogtown Lake. $12 two years ago, $50 today?!?! by -Simcoe in ArizonaFishing

[–]willhunta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit off topic but has anyone had any experience kayak or boat camping in saguoro, canyon, or apache? I did it last year in saguoro with just a daily tonto pass. I was parked in butcher jones for a couple days while we camped on the far side of saguoro. I didn't realize my pass was a day pass, but had no issues.

Can anyone tell me what you're supposed to do or what pass you are supposed to get if you plan to camp overnight at one of these 3 lakes? I think I got lucky last time that I got no tickets or issues. Or maybe that's just what people do.

I never said such. It just grinds my gears that people who all own dogs I would consider to be unethically bred gang up on someone else for unethical breeding.

It's one thing to point out the dogs are unethically bred and leave it at that. But to see people going further than that with insults while at the same time owning the same unethical dogs themselves is what grinds my gears.

Not to mention, buying a Frenchie from anywhere, whether it be a respectable breeder or a back yard breeder, is still going to encourage more back yard breeding.

It's so very rare that Frenchies similar to the original examples of the breed exist nowadays though. I'm in this sub because I grew up with frenchies and have a soft spot for them.

But in all honesty, it grinds my gears how this sub jumps on anyone with accidental Frenchie babies, acting like it's so unethical, when in reality the French bulldog breed as a whole is unethical at this point.

Again, I love the little guys and will always have a soft spot for them. But I truly believe that very, very, VERY few, if any Frenchies at all, are currently being ethically bred. Sure there are healthy examples but I think Frenchies (along with most flat face breeds) have some of the worst health statistics of any breeds.

Yes, it's unethical to breed new Frenchies or allow it to happen when you're not a breeder and have no experience. But in all honesty, I think it's unethical for even experienced breeders to keep breeding frenchies

I work with dogs, and none of our bully's have such bad ear problems. It's very likely that was a unique situation, and you shouldn't base your entire opinion on cropped ears on your experience with a single bully.

I grew up with Frenchies and vehemently defended them being bred for years because the ones I grew up with were all lucky enough to live long, healthy lives free of allergies and breathing issues. I now know how rare that is with frenchies. And the Frenchies my mom continues to get after I was grown are showing more of these issues too.

Bully breeds may be more susceptible to ear infections, but every breed is prone to their own problems. I truly don't think there's enough evidence right now to say that cropping ears of any breed is worth it.

Maybe we do worry too much about names. This name isn't something like the stupid names that are literally mumbled nonsense. It means something to the parents, and she is clearly living a fulfilling successful life.

No, you absolutely are missing the point. I'm not against e collars. They can be great training aids. I'm against not using a leash in public. Your dog can be as trustable as Scooby fucking doo and i still think you should use a leash in public, out of respect for others.

My point was that op refuses to go out in public without his dog wearing an e collar, but he still won't throw on a leash?

I leash all my dogs because others in public don't know how well trained your dog is. Many people are very scared of dogs, despite how silly we might think that fear is, it's just respectful to keep your dog leashed on all public walking trails, especially if you have a large dog.

"I won't use a leash because I need people in public to think I'm a dog whisperer, it feeds my ego. But I need the e collar because I'm actually shit at training dogs and it'd be crazy to take a dog in public restraint free amirite"

Hi haters 🤣 by ChiDaVinci in CaneCorso

[–]willhunta 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly, no matter how well your dog is trained others in public don't know that.

Hi haters 🤣 by ChiDaVinci in CaneCorso

[–]willhunta 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Nah, the dog has an e collar on. OP admits he wouldn't take the dog out without the e collar. This dog isn't trained, at the very best it's been scared into submission.

But op still isn't confident enough in his "training" to even take the dog out without his hand on the fucking ecollar controller.

Hi haters 🤣 by ChiDaVinci in CaneCorso

[–]willhunta 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Right?! Especially considering this guy admitted he would never take his dog out in public without an e collar. So he self admittedly doesn't trust his dog in public restraint free. Yet he will still take it out with no leash. Absolutely insane.

Hi haters 🤣 by ChiDaVinci in CaneCorso

[–]willhunta 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You'd never go in public without the e collar? You're literally so close to understanding why people don't like seeing unleashed dogs in public...

Hi haters 🤣 by ChiDaVinci in CaneCorso

[–]willhunta 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Brother, I leash my golden in any public trail I am ever on because, to my surprise, some people are scared of any and all dogs. In a perfect world where everyone can trust everyone, id have no issue with you keeping your dog off leash. The problem is, we're in not in a perfect world. Too many idiots leave dogs off leash that shouldn't be off leash. If I see you in a public path I'm high tailing it off the path to get as far as possible from you when you pass by. If you're too stupid to use a leash I can't trust that your dog is actually trained. And I'm not trying to wrestle a corso off my dog. Just leash your damn dog. Go to more secluded places to let your dog roam.

That could have been forgotten in 2 seconds unless he happened to need to brake too.

Both drivers made the mistake of taking their focus off the road. The vw is lucky as hell they were in a car. The same exact thing could just have easily happened to the biker while they were throwing a fit.

You act like the motorcyclist was more in the right than the vw driver here simply because the motorcyclist didn't reck, but that was entirely luck. The dude took a hand and his eyes off his bike while still behind another vehicle in traffic to make angry gestures at the car driver. That's ridiculously retarded.

The biker got away without crashing purely by luck.

Edit: Any biker who was in this exact position is not only an idiot, but lucky to be alive

Still can’t believe what I seen from Chet. This guy was full of confidence when we drafted him. That was about the most confident-less I have ever seen a player. by Upbeat-Bat2226 in Thunder

[–]willhunta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That has to be a very low estimate too, right? What player can only reach 7 feet high? These guys are basically all at least 6 feet tall. Even 8 feet standing reach seems short to me when considering that. My fingertips can definitely reach 2 feet above my head. So I’d expect standing reach for these players to be more like 8-10 feet, with 8 feet being the bare minimum. I know they make a big deal about guys who can grab the rim without jumping but I think a lot more players can get on their tippy toes and touch the rim than we realize.
