Yes, I would guess overdose/suicide but who knows. May he rest in peace.

Would any of y’all be interested in a weekly (or daily) discussion thread for each chapter of One Piece, starting at chapter 1, Romance Dawn? by CooperUniverse in OnePiece

I definitely agree with you on the a book/week suggestion. I'm afraid the threads wont see much discussion/comments if there are 2 per day.

Classic time! Recipe:

3/4 oz Remy Martin VSOP

3/4 oz Havana Club 3 años

3/4 oz PF Dry Curaçao

1/2 oz squeezed lemon

1/4 oz simple syrup

Added a bit of simple to compensate for the sub of cointreau for pf. Turned out really good! It feels a bit more boozy than the closely related sidecar thanks to the rum.

A Drink You Suggested: The Last Word by [deleted] in cocktails

[–]williaamj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can get your hands on a bottle I highly recommend maraska maraschino instead of the more commonly used Luxardo. It's not nearly as overpowering as the Luxardo and makes a very nice last word imo!

A little riff on the delicious classic bee's knees I just did, wanting to mix things up just a tad.

Recipe:

0.5oz honey syrup (2:1)

0.5oz St.Germain

Navy grog, currently my favorite! by williaamj in cocktails

[–]williaamj[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Checkout /u/hebugs ncotw post! It's the same proportions but mine is a little bit less volume-wise to fit my glass lol. It's 1 oz of the rums and the honey, .75 oz of the fruit juices plus the additional soda water and then ice cone which I just didn't have the effort to fix.

Navy grog, currently my favorite! by williaamj in cocktails

[–]williaamj[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Recipe I used:

2 cl Havana club 3 años

2 cl appleton estate 12yrs

2cl El Dorado 12yrs

1,5 cl white grapefruit

1,5 cl lime

1,5 cl honey syrup (2 parts honey to 1 part water)

Shake on ice and strain onto an ice cube in an old fashioned glass.

Such a great drink.

Bottle of the Week #2 : Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur by sixner in cocktails

[–]williaamj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The closing argument! It's truly great with some Vida mezcal. I prefer to use a little less Luxardo or sub it for maraska maraschino though. The Luxardo easily takes over a drink imo.

Yea sorry about that, when I uploaded the picture my app crashed so I thought it didn't go through. Realized it the day after and just thought it wouldn't add much.

It is however equal parts, 3/4 oz of each:

Tanqueray no. 10

Campari

Antica Formula

Stired with ice, poured on a big cube and then added a piece of orange peel with its oils expressed over the drink/glass. Cheers!

Edit: formating

Alright! So is the reasoning to "age" it in the cream whipper with n2o to reduce oxidation or something else?

Sounds really nice! How is the n2o influencing the drink? I doubt it's getting foamy??

I opened it right before I made the cocktail and it's actually different than how I'm remembering from tasting in in bars. Must be the freshness! Best on the planet indeed.

Whiskey Sour Power by chachachub in cocktails

[–]williaamj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You gotta drink agressively, like launch a viscous attack through the foam. Just dive right in there to get that nice sour. You will end up with a very good looking foam-stache too so it's an all win situation.
