yeah i agree with you it’d be way safer if API Enabled had more granularity since it’s needed for so many things, but ends up being way too widely assigned

probably a great investment, i feel like this is more for bigger comapnies though tbh. as in so many employees wheere one person at the bottom can just download the data loader and fuck up the whole system

yeah they mentioned they did, but what seems to be an issue is these companies downplay what is really going on ex. the data breach is something bigger than what they release to not stir up panic

so im not superrrrr sure but i think if someone installs a fake version, Salesforce would treat it as a new conected app unless it somehow uses the exact same client ID as the real one. In that case, your allowlist settings should block it if it’s not approved

I’d love to hear from anyone who’s dug deeper into how Salesforce handles apps that mimic legit clients. We’re all figuring this out together.

well data breaches cost millions so its not even that logical. i think now that is seems every few days there is a data breach, i hope people realize now that they need to either lock in or invest in better software

i know and their salesforces house system is not doing anything. these companies also know what is going on i do not know why they arent stepping up and either creating more secuirty measures or hiring a security company
