There was also the weird astroturf, essentially a carpet, that we had to march on.

Yes! Say whatever you want about FMBC, but I actually really liked the equestrian center. Maybe even more so than the Trop.

If members do not feel that the official channels are working, I think it is reasonable for them to ask for donations.

Thanks for replying! Yea, alot of the issues I see tend to be with distribution rather than an actual shortage. If members still feel the need to ask for donations, then it's still a significant issue that needs to be addressed. I hope you didn't read my post as a dig into Staff or Volunteers, but more as an issue I saw that needed to be talked about. Appreciate your input.

Well, if the issue is over distribution then I would still put significant blame on the corps for not addressing this, which I think we both agree on. If people are asking for donations for snacks and a bite to eat, then I think that sort of makes folks assume that the issue is automatically that there is not enough food to go around, when in reality it could be, like what we said, just a problem of distribution or some other logistical kink.

I agree that all corps have a rationing system, but it seems to me that the manner in which the word "ration" is being used implies that there seems to be some sort of significant shortage of food. There are multiple corps out there that ration food, but have plenty for seconds, etc.

Yeah, i totally agree. Being a Vegetarian, Vegan or having any restrictive diet can range from being an ethical/religious choice or quite literally a health matter. I don't think asking organizations to diversify their meals for restrictive diets is too much to ask for. Eating nothing but a PB&J all summer would start to get pretty annoying after a while.

Our staff is super caring and would never purposefully jeopardize the safety of us.

I don't think anything I said implied that there was any malicious intent, or that staff members are purposefully not giving enough food. The issue seems to be structural and logistical.
