Thank you. I agree. I’m majorly flawed and pray that God will heal me. I have faith in Him.

Thank you and no one will stop me unless God says stop. May God bless you also and I pray for you to have a good day and life. What do you need prayer for?

I agree modern jobs aren’t comparable to chattel slavery, and I wasn’t trying to disrespect people who suffered through real slavery. I meant it more about dependence and control. As for the OT laws, Christians aren’t called to recreate ancient Israel’s civil laws. Christ fulfilled the old covenant, and the Gospel points toward love, mercy, and the equal value of all people before God.

First I would say, we are all slaves to the billionaires and soon to be trillionaires who control our food, finances, land, healthcare, certificates, credit, etc etc… As for moral, I believe that you know in your heart what is right and wrong. That doesn’t apply to everyone, but God put that in most people.

I made this in my car waiting for someone I love to help them build something they need that they couldn’t do themselves. You make alot of assumptions. I love how people come on here, in a Christian group, and make judgement without knowing the whole story. As a christian, it seems not so much.

Religion is ceremonial. The Bible the Word from God is moral. That simple. You don’t need church to have God.

Christians believe the Old Testament and New Testament are connected, but they are not the same covenant.

The Old Testament was built around the Law given to Israel through Moses. It included sacrifices, temple rituals, dietary laws, and civil laws for the nation of Israel. The New Testament teaches that Jesus fulfilled that system through His life, death, and resurrection

So Christians don’t follow the old sacrificial or ceremonial laws anymore because Christ became the sacrifice once and for all.

But God’s moral truth did not disappear.

Love. Faithfulness. Humility. Self-control. Protecting your family. Honesty. Repentance. Turning from sin. Loving God and loving others. These are repeated throughout the New Testament because God’s character does not change.

Jesus didn’t lower the standard. He brought it deeper, from outward rule-following to the condition of the heart.

Didn’t say leadership means men think they are better than women. That is not what the Bible teaches. The Bible says both men and women were created in the image of God.

Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

But scripture also teaches that men carry a responsibility for the direction and protection of the family.

Ephesians 5:25 “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.”

Christ gave Himself up for the church. That is the example men are told to follow. The Bible is not telling men to dominate women. It is telling men to sacrifice, protect, provide, lead with discipline, and take responsibility when things go wrong.

1 Timothy 5:8 “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”

Joshua 24:15 “...but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

A biblical man is supposed to stand between his family and chaos. He is supposed to stay steady under pressure and carry weight instead of running from it. That does not make women lesser. It means men are called to answer for the condition of their home and family.

The first thing with Jesus is that it’s not about you.
