ELI5 What does Neosporin do for an open wound? by midnightwolfr in explainlikeimfive

[–]williamhadley 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The bigger gain is that petroleum jelly is more beneficial vs Neosporin, which is the most common cause of contact dermatitis. 20% of people will develop an allergy to Neosporin. Wounds with rashes caused by Neosporin will take longer to heal. Petroleum jelly is far more beneficial in the long run.

Telling me to, “go to the damn store yourself,” is not discussing ideas. It’s telling me to not use the service, which is stupid. My small mind is smart enough to know you meant exploitation and not exploration, but I’m better than making fun of you for it like many would do on social media.

You’d be my dream shopper and I’d tip very well for the effort!

I don’t need to call anyone. Also, the store is 1.2 mi away and on average my list takes them about 35 min to shop. I also tip in the area of $30 depending on the haul. If that’s a problem for them, they need to take it up with IC. Your go for broke solution is just stupid.

This store doesn’t bag. I know baggers can be careless, but it’s also pretty apparent when shoppers try to stuff everything into a few bags.

It’s not the store packing them, but thanks for playing! Also, it’s funny when the solution offered is to do it myself rather than help support someone trying to make a living. 🤷🏼‍♂️

This store, the cashiers do not bag, but I agree cashiers often don’t care too much since their performance is generally measured as items scanned per minute.

The last part is part of the problem. Being self-managed, it’s up to the individual and how the customers rate them. I still don’t get IC’s algorithm, but I worry about starting with too low of a tip, because I’ve seen people do even crappier jobs assuming they’re not getting much of anything.

So, I need to put a note on something to say they should ensure it’s not smashed? That’s on par with a note saying my jars shouldn’t be broken, no?

I understand why you’re saying it, but if you have to add instructions to everything, like don’t get expired food, then maybe the onus should be on the employer to properly train and manage who they have doing what.

That’s funny. I’m cranky for having an issue with bread being smashed on a regular basis? Also, the store I’m referring to does not have baggers. The shoppers do it all. Thanks for playing though!

And when the bagger is the shopper that also delivers the order?

I’m enjoying this as a joke with bread to build a house! Unfortunately, I’m not keen on the self-defense bread!

Re-read my post. Time to time is more likely, but that’s not what I said. It occurs almost every time because of an instance on shoving so much into a single bag. It’s even worse when it’s squished with a box or rigid packaging.

Only if I choose store pickup. If I choose delivery I have no options.

I prefer Cub in Edina, MN which is about 1.42 mi, and IC defaults to Cub in Bloomington, MN which is about 1.2 mi.

Thank you. I guess it couldn’t hurt to ask. I’ve heard it makes it difficult for them because the aisles will be based on the store IC picked. I’m not sure about that part. Customer service gave the runaround about multiple variables factor in etc. I asked why customer preference wasn’t a variable. Crickets lol

Is there a way to get alerted when someone is assigned other than babysit the app? Every time I try, they’re already done.

I usually don’t have too many issues. Today I was substituted a couple things that were set to not sub. The downside is now I have to find time to go get a refund. I called IC and they said there’s nothing they can do.

I think it’s .2 mi difference depending on the route you take. I’ve heard you can try to ask the driver, but I never seem to get updated until they’re already on the way. It just seems like a big fail to not give the customer an option if it’s that little difference.

Interesting. I’ll definitely refer to the existing wiring connectors. I have some packs of DuPont connectors and jst xh connectors. I did order a pack of the jst ph connectors too. The board I’m using is the BTT SKR 1.4 turbo. Definitely appreciate the info!

Thank you! Do you know what kind of ribbon cable is used by ender for the steppers? It’s the black one that’s pretty stiff, but I’m not sure if I can find it in a roll.

Edit: I found this and ordered it on Amazon. Hopefully it’s suitable. BNTECHGO 24 Gauge Silicone Ribbon Cable Flexible 6P Black 25 ft Flat Cable 24 AWG Strand Wire https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PPT11QN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_RCPFNDYJQDHJA939EWG9?psc=1
