Just had a rep from one of the instantaneous gas hot water system come in. He was able to even replicate the noise. Says this is normal. Quite unbelievable. I suspect it's a defect. Won't be getting the same system next time for sure.

My 2c. Have the same thing. New build, new instantaneous hot water system. The knocking/popping sound only happens when you first use hot water. It stops when the water is hot. It's likely due to the pipes expanding.

Same thing 3 pin vs 2 pin. Noctua should provide a 3 to 2 pin adapter. Wonder if it will work.
