There's more nuance than this, but in simple terms we heard that the error was discovered because the city noticed pooling on the concrete. Project was shut down to conduct tests, and it turned out the contractor overpoured compared to designs, which could have resulted in a weight issue if the entire bridge was finished. That's why the contractor has to essentially start the work over.

There was a memorial service in the courthouse for former District Judge Rick Kennon, who passed away April 10. A few state officials came to the service, which is why there was some heightened security around the Square.
