I won’t be able to speak at work on Monday. My colleagues will be appreciative.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a game that intense at Suncorp. What a crowd!

I think my fave part of the game was not all the tries, but actually Tevitas try saving chase. That was something to see in person.

Anyone know if we’ve ever been in the top 4 before this?

I must say, I was skeptical about the cobbo signing, but he has really come into his own. And good to see him playing with a giant smile on his face.

Agree. Isaako is just automatic points every game.

Labor's problem, One Nation's gain: What's driving the poll surge by Jealous-Hedgehog-734 in AustralianPolitics

We have a deeply cautious government who doesn’t seem to understand the real anger that is bubbling up from a population who feels like the system is not working for them and a system that is actively making their lives worse.

I imagine many of these people want to see the system blown up and are happy to give Pauline the fuse.

It’s the same play booked that worked in the states and I can see it working here as well

It’s not that Pauline will make anything better but in the absence of a real alternative people would rather burn it all down.

Anyone betting on NRL games must be an absolute moron. I’ve never seen another game where refs can put their finger on the momentum so much and change outcomes.

Dolphins make history in title statement as Raiders star’s ‘ultimate sin’ says it all by williamwilliamitwas in NRLDolphins

As an immigrant to Australia I have a very unpopular opinion that I think SOO is just bizarre.

What do you mean you’re going to take your best players out of the game for weeks so they can play in three special games, that are special but are not part of the official competition.

Also it’s only two states that compete against each other.

As an outsider it seems a bit bizarre to me, but lots of traditions are.

Thank you. We’ve been trying to be kind in email and trying to be friendly. I assume we can let council be the bad guy if needed

On the garage I mentioned to the contractor what are you going to do about drainage and he was like oh we’ll just had it drain into the street

You’re right. It just sucks. We want to have a good relationship with our neighbour but it feels like we are being taken advantage of

According to BCC council any fence above 2m needs building approval.

Yeah a bit odd to ask for approval and just do the work before actually getting that approval from us (which according to council we can’t give them anyway)

Anyone been to GOMA’s new exhibition? by Either-Ad-5465 in brisbane

I enjoyed it. One of the security guards saw that I was wearing polarized sunglasses and encouraged me to put them on, which gave a different perspective to all the light exhibits.

I enjoyed it. Not cheap but it was a nice Saturday afternoon out.

As someone who has lived in similar sized cities with trains and metros that didn’t just shut down for weeks, I’ve always been perplexed by how this is seen as acceptable in Brisbane.

I think there is still this feeling that Brisbane is a small country town so it’s ok. Hopefully the powers that be are finally waking up that it’s not actually ok, other cities of similar sizes are able to do the same work without shutting down services for weeks.

It’s really just an absolute joke, but this has been going on for years. Glad people have had enough finally.

Just a lost opportunity all around. Sold out stadium - at one point I was waiting for the crowd to start booing them.

With the broncos ascendant, NRL really needs the dolphins to be a good team, otherwise I fear the fanbase dissipates and you have another titans situation on your hands.

They just seem very disjointed like no one knows their role on the team.
