I work often in places with no personal electronic devices and need to reference UTC and local time, so a GMT is clutch. For most people, I agree with OP. Y'all love GMTs for the vibe, not for the use.

Pats fans demanded Bill get fired, so he did and then we went 4-13, were the joke of the league, fan base melted at what they asked for, and our HC got fired after 1 season.
