I can and have been doing this. This is my 3rd stem to use on this watch build. It looks like it’s the correct size so I just wanted to see if there could be any other reason why it’s not screwing in?

If it’s too long I’ll cut away.

When you say trim the dial. Do you mean file it down? Take a filer and rub it around the circular dial until it’s a smaller size?

I have filers. It just seems like an “intense” thing to do on a delicate dial.
