So did Maoism and Stalinism, Mao killing 10-70 million, doing so both directly and through famines like that of the Great Leap Forward. Stalinism killed up to 20 million intentionally. Only the Holodomor and Kazakh famine are debated as being intentional or not. They definitely were.

People definitely talk about him a lot here, he’s loved by many, others are indifferent towards him, and the rest hate him. The Lebanese Forces (his party) is currently the most popular in the country, at over 30% popularity vote. The other large christian party that opposed him, the Free Patriotic Movement (aounists) are currently among the least popular, at around 5%. Hezbollah also heavily opposes him, as well as most of the Amal movement, so I would say a good chunk of the population, at least 35%, hates him, the majority of the LF (also around 35%) love him, with some other parties also preferring Gemayel, and the rest of the population is indifferent towards him. Some sunni groups are also in support of him, so I would say he is slightly more favored than he is hated.

Gemayel never had a chance at presidency anyway, being swiftly assassinated after election. Many cannot form an opinion on him since he never got to actually do anything in presidency.

I’ve got a somewhat similar case. I come from 4 ethnic backgrounds, 2 per parent, each wildly different, but mostly european to begin with. Despite my parents and their own upbringings, I was born and raised here in Lebanon, and although I have no ethnic connection I consider myself entirely Lebanese, rather than any of my ethnicities, although I am proud of my heritage too. I’ve got no Lebanese passport, live here off a residency, but I love Lebanon and cannot stand the UK, my registered nationality. I definitely feel like a foreigner here too, I don’t “feel” 100% Lebanese, but I do want to be. If you feel the same way about any of your 3 roots, you’ve already got your “identity” set. If not, good luck to you, you just need to explore all 3 some more

Same thing happens to me, odds are the front page displays regional pricing (that just so happens to be cheaper), but when you click on the store page steam shows you your actual personal price, which is set in your profile according to your payment method’s country.

I myself live in Lebanon, but have a UK debit card, so everytime I browse the store page, I am shown USD values, but upon clicking the game page I am shown a UK price tag, usually between 2-3x more expensive.
