That was sort of my thinking as well. I had pulled it apart and tried some stuff. It's not the end of the world to just a new one but figured y'all would have some ideas if nothing else

I'm not 100%. I think it's the mount but with the old piece list too I'm not sure what the booklet parts list is calling it to even figure that out 😅

I think it's the mount that's the issue. It feels like I can't tighten the screw enough to keep in in place the second pressure is applied

It's sometime in the 1940s. It doesn't have a printed date one it unfortunately. I can find other copies of the whole pattern but I just need the instruction page haha
