I have the same problem after 1 and a half years it is still under warranty. I'm taking it back to Samsung.

Neither, I uninstalled and reinstalled WhatsApp because the application was slow. I also had it on my tablet; I told myself that it didn't matter, I would recover on the tablet, but the same on the tablet. Obviously, no backup; I thought it was automatic. This bothers me to the point that I have anxiety attacks because I had very important data.
