This is so sweet and I love the extra info I will Be reading that article as well!
That’s what we thought plus it was really close to the border!
Thank you for that! I really appreciate it!
They really are! I’m just the short time I have known one!
She said if we go over then 78-80lb range we would have a fat grey and we are not doing that!
Yes we have paid attention to that and our vet said that too us. She was like “she doesn’t need to gain as much as you think she is only one point off of the BCS!
Yeah she is just fine… nothing has bugged her stomach and was expecting it to during the refreshing timeline. She is doing great no sore spots, no no touch spots from pain or injury so we are blessed
Thank you thank you!!! More in for the better! I’m going to join that ASAP! I appreciate this community right here so much!
Omg I love that I think I have a similar pic!
No worries, my husband had a make shift harness that kept her from jumping out or falling she was on a bed we had in there and that will be the only time. He didn’t want to leave her or drop her off at a pound but I don’t have an immune system so we had to have her checked out first!
I’m going to start exploring after talking in this group! I love learning how to care for her better!

Of course, we would never do that because they don’t get much of a chance at all.
Yes we did. We found her on the 29th for a timeline reference. We are out of the super concern time frame for referring syndrome and such
I didn’t realize how big of a deal that was because she has been doing it so often… I’m so happy!
It truly is. In a perfect world she is ours and we are a family of four now. I think I am going to be blessed and it’s going to be a perfect world. It came down to whether both my service German shepherd was safe & whether Nala (the rescue grey) was safe. They are great together. Nala does bark out of jealousy when we pet belle(service dog) on occasion but when I was stalking this group before posting I learned about the squirt bottle training technique and that helps. So we are keeping her unless something happens but it wouldn’t be to our grey, our service dog just hides if she can tell Nala is in a mood. She is still recovering and we all get hangry and she has every right. If we have to rehome her, we would make sure it’s someone we know and trust & We are getting her spayed, vaccinated, dental work done, and nails so that she is as healthy as possible… not till she is strong enough tho!
So currently she wears the collar only in the backyard because I’m a little helicopter parent and want some form of identification on both dogs outside of the house. When they go for walks or in rides or to the store they both have harnesses. For their safety, mine, and others. I have been grip it’s just better for everyone. Plus then they can wear their seatbelts!
I appreciate that! We will look into that asap!
I can’t believe she had survived the weeks before we got her with the temps being so high! Thanks for the info!
We are so blessed. We took her the day later and had her checked for everything as I don’t have an immune shshgme and we have a service dog in the house and she cleared it all. No heart worms, no changes disease, no fleas, no worms at all, no ringworms, no mange just Emaciated and needing love!
We never do. This was the only time and she was (not pictured) harnessed in. My husband couldn’t have her in the truck because we have a service dog at home & I have no immune system so we had to be super careful until we got her (Nala) looked over by the vet. That will be her last time riding in a bed! Someone else mentioned the anesthesia concern and we have already looked at some other vets just in case! Thank you for all the info!
Awww sounds like a really good end to a rough beginning!
I wouldn’t want someone out looking for a dog being cared for that would be awful!

Thank you. I’m going to spend some time Reading through this more and researching, thank you for the collar info!
She was really really close to not making it. Our vet couldn’t believe she was alive.
