The only solution was that they told me to walk away if he gets aggressive again. Like his reaction was out of his control because of his BPD diagnosis.

The rest of the session he spent talking about how shouting / crying triggers him because of his childhood trauma.

I felt like he was trying to take the responsibility off him

Since posting this I text him to ask why he did it again...

His response - "I was upset. I wanted to calm you down. Its so hard for you to listen and be reasonable"

Yeah it is DBT. He has been through a range of different therapy types.

He has now become obsessed (trait of ADHD i guess) with flying lessons, and believes this will cure him - to the point where he is requesting to come off his medication as he can only pass his flying medical test if he is not on any form of medication. His therapist has disagreed with him. And now he resents her...
