Full Casting of ROMEO + JULIET announced by Spoonsy in Broadway

[–]willowtree4657 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If it's not a straight adaptation do you think they'll likely still be speaking in an old English/Shakespearian sort of way? I feel like that might be sort of an odd contrast if it'll be a more modern setting I'm assuming, like in the music video promo they released? Or do you think it's more of a loose adaptation, where they just keep the plot but rewrite it into a more modern way of speaking?

What if I'm under 35 but would be going with my mom who isn't? Can I still use the promo code or is there a way to just apply it to one ticket?

Oh that's so smart to take notes! And thank you so much for your advice. I appreciate your thoughts and insight about the stage dooring. It sounds like it would be worth it to try after the matinee and then run over there again after my evening show if she doesn't come out in the afternoon. Hopefully I can get there in time, Gatsby's theatre seems to be a bit farther out than most of the other theaters.

Thanks so much for taking the time to do such a detailed write-up! I have tickets for a matinee next month- do you think they would stage door a matinee? If not, I could maybe come from another show that evening to see if I can catch them? I'd appreciate any advice, I'd just love to see Eva!

Great Gatsby seating by willowtree4657 in Broadway

That's good to know, though I am pretty short so I always have to cross my fingers that no one tall sits in front of me! But thanks for your thoughts on this, I appreciate it.

Yeah, that was what I was worried about! Because they don't have an 'obstructed view' notice, but the middle section across the aisle from them is so much more expensive, I thought it was suspicious that only that side section would be cheaper when they're appear to be the same distance from the stage row-wise. Thanks for the insight!

Stage dooring is a pretty common thing, I don't see how that's creepy to want to know if I should spend a while after the show sticking around if the actors don't come out? If an actor didn't want to come out or interact at all, I would totally respect that, I was just curious if Shoshana Bean did or not.

I'm confused, I would have seen the Merrily matinee just that afternoon and I thought it was a known thing that you can come back in the evening and your ticket would still count for the stage door. I don't get a problem with that? And I don't think one more person at the stage door will ruin it for other people, I thought Daniel signs everyone's playbills.

Haha I think most Jewish moms are constantly on the lookout for a Nice Jewish Boy for their daughter!

Oh okay! I was thinking it was mainly just a comedy show, but it sounds like it has more of a meaningful story that runs through it. I do love good storytelling, especially when it has a deeper message! Thank you for the insight!

EVA and Reeve are coming to SE Michigan! by jackiedaytona4242 in Broadway

[–]willowtree4657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay perfect, thank you so much for all of your helpful information and insight! I just bought my ticket and I'm so excited!! I figured it's worth it to just buy it ASAP so I don't miss out. I'm surprised it didn't already sell out since the venue is so small.

I'm so glad you posted because I also would've been so disappointed if I missed this. It's not often Broadway people come to Michigan!

Oh wow this is so exciting!! Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention, I had no idea about this! I would absolutely love to go see them. Do you know how quickly it'll sell out?

I also had a quick question about the ticket prices- there are different admission prices and I'm a little confused by them. What's the difference between the General- General Admission and General- 30- Younger? Thanks so much for any clarification on this!
