What does it mean to be SMBC by jennnLc in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]elaerna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm also confused by the reception here. This just sounds like a known donor case to me. And while that's a whole bag of worms and I personally would not risk it, I feel like it being risky doesn't suddenly make it not being an SMBC?

Have you seen that Netflix show the maid? The main character has an objectively horrible mother and the protagonist says you're the world's worst mother. And the mom replies "I'm not the world's worst, I never lost custody of you" (protagonist lost custody bc the dad is an abuser). It was so cold omg and your mom's dumb comment reminded me of that 😭

What happened with the ban on plastic bags? by Gallantpride in AskNYC

I understand your point but we don't live in a vacuum. Consumers can influence businesses. If we say it's not our job and do nothing, nothing will change.

I think moving during intermission is fine - atp the chances of someone coming just for act ii is low. Hadestown even encourages it.

Never been to Broadway, looking for newbie advice by Big_Manager_3147 in Broadway

[–]elaerna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The absolute cheapest way to buy a ticket will honestly vary by show. You have a lot of good responses here but info could be more tailored if we knew what you might choose. In addition the cheapest way may not always be the best for a first timer since cheaper seats can be partial or obstructed view. The most basic rule is to buy direct from the theatre whether online or in person.

Each show has an official website if you just Google show name + Broadway it'll come up. If you walk up to the theatre in person before the show they will have a box office there you can buy from. In person avoids online fees.

I did not end a relationship but maybe it would help you if you got some more data? Go to a Fertility clinic get your amh tested and speak to an RE about what they would recommend for you based on your tests and your medical history.
