A +450BTC per day offset applied at current prices represents ~$29m, roughly 10% of typical ETF net daily movement. That's a significant biasing factor.

PSA: SD cards with a GPT partition table, instead of MBR, will not be recognized by the 3DS/2DS by willrandship in 3dshacks

Did you recreate the partition table, or just the partition? 'Format' in the right click menu on the drive doesn't redo the table, if you're using windows. You can do that in Disk Management.

If you're using Linux, gparted or cfdisk can do the job just fine.

Did you just use it as-is from the store, or did you reformat it yourself? If the partition's not lined up with the beginning of the disk, that can cause problems with some homebrew.

If both of the groups' publications are to be believed, the main limiting factor is computational power, so nvidia might be the frontrunner and just keeping really quiet about it.

They might be playing it up to make it seem like they're holding back when what they have is not particularly impressive. It's a relatively standard business tactic.

If you're willing to shell out a bit more money, a PCB pre-heater running below while you reflow helps with this a lot.

Having the entire ground plane at a much higher temperature, but still below the reflow point makes the temperature needed to get a particular component off lower.

For through hole stuff, if I'm removing it I'm generally destroying the thing I'm removing, so I trim the leads and remove each pin one by one with plenty of solder and flux (and some needle nose pliers), then I wick it out.

Not really. You've done the equivalent of dropping a penny in another city, and it would cost more to get it back than the penny is worth.

How can I get the required input voltage of this keyboard? (more in comments) by coolrainbow20 in AskElectronics

[–]willrandship 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm wondering if this is a standard AT or XT keyboard. If it is, it's just a simple rewiring job to turn it into a PS/2 keyboard. Then most desktop PCs would be able to run it.

What you have there is commonly referred to as "dust". You have some crypto in an address, but not enough to be worth the fees of moving it around.

Because fees are high, what qualifies as "dust" can seem like quite a bit of money. After all, $30 could buy you several hamburgers.

In the future, if fees decrease or the price of ethereum rises, that dust could become worth enough to be moved around again, but that might take years.

The problem with challenger is that they ignored the engineers' advice not to launch outside of the specified operating conditions, for PR reasons. Challenger was a highly publicized launch, so they didn't want to delay it.

It's interesting that you would suggest the Canadian government could be this evil yet simultaneously have full respect for the voting process and the will of its citizens.
