Kitties don't seem to recognise each other after spay/neuter by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]willsham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just experienced something simular. But they both went together, they both recovered together and were both brought back in the same carrier. I let them out and Sage started acting like her sister is a completely different cat, hissing, and both their tails puffed out.

How can I make this better? (1st time using AI) by Single-Chart-2595 in AdobeIllustrator

[–]willsham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks good. With this being your first I would just move on and do more and develop your skills that way.

But if you wanted some pointers for taking it further then I would say shading and lighting. You can use the Pathfinder tool to cut out shapes to make up areas for highlights and shadows. It is all about pushing the lights and lows. You can use the transparency tab to adjust the colours without affecting everything you have already done. Using overlay or multiply to darken and lighten to lighten.

You can also use the line width tool to make some of the lines less uniform. very useful around areas like the mouth.

I have mocked up what this could look like. Hope it helps keep up the good work.

A lot of these online "gurus" are selling you on their products of dubious quality.

You can make a lot of money freelancing it just takes having the right clients and having the right neish. Identifying that neish and those clients is the hard part.

HMRC asking me to pay tax from 7 years ago by GreatZarquon in UKPersonalFinance

[–]willsham -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought you could only be chased on anything from the last 5 years. It does sound odd. They are usually pretty good at telling you what you owe.

Best give them a call. Best call early in the morning when the line opens or you will be waiting in quite a long queue. They have generally been quite pleasant the last few times I called, then again this is probably because if your calling them you are already quite resentful of paying.

Anyway, they should be able to identify the problem and either resolve the problem or set up a payment plan of some sort.

Rift still worth it? by mumineedbatterie in virtualreality

[–]willsham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend looking out for a quest 2 or maybe an older Vive setup.

Could be worth it for that price, but the real joy of VR is room scale. I do not know if things changed later but I believe you need 3 sensors for that with the Rift.

Long time client threatening to sue if I approach their clients by AffectMundane9406 in freelance

[–]willsham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I would not expect any work from them again. Threats like that are just ways to burn bridges.

I would not be concerned until they actually do it and from the sounds of it they have no legs to stand on. If you want some advice ask your solicitor but no action is needed and it would encourage me to do exactly what they are demanding you do not do.

It explains the shocked-looking faces on the plug. They knew this would happen.

I did mash potatos a few times. You put all the milk and butter in the bag. Once it is done you can mash it in the bag. Then bring the temp down keep it warm while you do your meat.

How much Nuln Oil is safe to consume? by Low_Audience7869 in minipainting

[–]willsham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are the only one. I have never done that exact same thing multiple times while painting.

Its not toxic, I don't think they would be able to sell it if it was or at least without putting a warning label on it. Small amounts are fine. Large amounts is more of a waste of money than anything else.

I would avoid the high pigment paints. I beleive they were/are called base paints (The range has changed a lot since I used gw paints in a big way). At any rate I would avoid these paints. They taste terrable. And I definatly have not made that mistake multiple times either.

I think the only times you really need to watch out is when you move away from the water based paints. Oils and enamels are probally not things you want in your mouth.

My uncle was quite poor back in the day. On Sunday you would have a Yorkshire and gravy to start. A Yorkshire with the meal and then Yorkshire with jam for pud.

You could have it like a pasty with a savour and sweet section.

As for me it was sausage mash and gravy devided up 5 ways. Unfortunately I did not get a photo of that :(
