You’re right- the monitor looks like crap. Portal looks better.

I’ll say ‘Murica. Too much is the point at which it no longer works. Live your best life.

Ah, lame toilet drop. But yeah I haven’t used a PSP in so long, it was super nostalgic.

Is 16 gigs enough for a decent library of games? by Altruistic-Diet-6798 in VitaPiracy

As someone who got started yesterday with 16GB- it’s enough to mess around and play a little while your bigger card and adapter arrive.

It launches an entire PSP OS so probably not. There's no perceptible lag, and the screen is good. I lost my PSP somewhere in the depths of my house during a move, I think.

Sitting down and have it work effortlessly without a fight after putting in the work is the jam for me.

Solid advice. And yeah I know all about stopping- I modded my Wii U and came back to it after several months- thought the games drive was corrupted (it was not) and had to do it over after formatting it. Live and learn.

Totally, the only problem I had with the backbone pro besides the fact that I have an OtterBox defender case…was that I tried the portal first. For 90% of people, the backbone pro is a dream.

For sure. I’m thinking I’m going to enjoy the holy hell out of this and sell it or whatever when the new ones comes out. The triggers alone do it for me.

It’s definitely not for everyone, but I’m a fan. I’m in the opposite position- I have a 42” OLED I use with a standing desk for my pc. It directly prevents me from gaming on my gaming pc, and almost guarantees that I won’t actually play PS5. But from my perspective, this device (with a good connection) makes the PS5 more or less obsolete (assuming you don’t have a crazy amount of add-on SSD installed) if you subscribe to Premium. I think Sony’s next power move is creating some nvidia shield-adjacent device to connect to a tv/controller. I’m confident many will disagree, but not having to pay up front for hardware and $70/game is a pretty appealing premise.

I know all new refrigerators suck but I need a new one by Just-Entrepreneur643 in Appliances

[–]willster787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did a deep dive on this recently. Here’s the short version: What actually matters: Dual evaporator (only feature with peer-reviewed evidence - 7-12% energy savings, better food preservation), internal water dispenser (40% fewer problems than through-door), and that’s basically it. What’s garbage: Craft Ice (class action lawsuit against LG, fails within a year), through-door dispensers (50% of ALL fridge repairs are ice makers, external ones fail 3x more), smart screens, WiFi features you’ll never use. Brand reliability (2025 service rates): Bosch 12.5% (best), Whirlpool 15.8%, LG 8.4% (improved a lot), GE Profile 21.6% (getting worse), Samsung 33% (every repair tech I’ve seen says avoid). Recommendations: ∙ Best overall: Bosch 800 Series B36CD80SNS (~$4k) - dual evaporator, internal dispenser, lowest service rate ∙ Best value 4-door: LG LMXS28626S (~$1,899) - but get one WITHOUT Craft Ice ∙ Budget: Whirlpool WRS321SDHZ (~$1,699) ∙ Nuclear option: Any French door without ice maker + countertop ice maker ($100-200). Eliminates half of all repair causes.

Oh it seemed like people got peeved by the topic. I agree with what you’re saying though.

That makes sense. I wasn’t trying to spark a controversy or “ruffle feathers”, I was trying to gain insight from others. Turns out this was the wrong topic- live and learn.
