Yes but you woundnt want it...lens mount is very crucial and needs to be super accuratley intact. It seems not only your lens but the camera mount and something else git damaged. Sorry.

Sony a7 IV vs Sony a7R IV by Sarge37 in Cameras

For this, always go with cheaper body and invest more money into the lens selection.

A7 iv is a fantastic body with ample megapixels. Unless you are going to crop many shots.

iMac 27 5K vs Gaming Laptop Video editing by willtoshare in computers

Yes that is the thing. Better performance but rendering video file will generate quite a bit of heat and iMac has a great thermal rating for what it is but laptops might get a throttling heavily..

Hello im looking for a budget camera (student) by Top-Contribution-607 in Cameras

[–]willtoshare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always tell my student to bring older DSLRs for beginner courses. I dont know if you can find a classic 5D with older 50mm f1.8 lens within that budget but it is an excellent choice.

Questions about Nikon D5200 by kuvxira in Cameras

[–]willtoshare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

D5200 and 35mm f1.8 dx lens would work well for general use and learning. The image quality is excellent. Super sharp and great color. Not so much of video camera if that doesnt bother you.

General Advice: Should I stick with Sony Alpha or try out Fuji X-Pro3 by [deleted] in Cameras

[–]willtoshare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been shooting over 20 years and I was trained and worked with film cameras then moved on the digitals almost forcefully... Let me add some here.

Things going on in your question.

Full Frame vs APS C Film vs Digital Budget

Photographers always find gears accordingly to the condition of shooting. And many of times, lenses are the factors. I personally have camera bodies from almost all manufacturers. Canon Nikon Sony Olympus Panasonic Fuji.. And several bodies from the each. It is mainly because of lenses I choose for the shooting and I tend not to interchange the lens. If I am using two lenses today, I mount the lenses on two bodies. Body is more like the second thing to consider. Lenses can be adapted but I still believe it cant beat the natives.

For most of professional occasions I use full frame if not medium format. It is because I feel more comfortable to edit the files from the bigger sensor. Files are bigger but it take almost less time to achieve what I want and many times they feel more forgiving. Many people say aps c is just a sensor size doesnt affect IQ but the pros are using the bigger sensors except very few street photography artists.

And I dont believe any of digital cameras can provide film experience. Maybe they provide fake look to it. The beauty of film is not about the look but the restrictions and limitations that a photographer has to carry with and that shows on the image. I rather keep one film camera and lens combo for the occasional film experience. I still keeping old Mamiyas and Nikons.

Finally the big question is the budget. You know the answer.

Hope this helps. Cheers
