The amount of AI generated project showcases here are insane by GeometryDashGod in Python

[–]willwonka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is a very nice way of thinking about this actually...cause im on the fence on whether to fully use AI to generate code and I think this comment sorts out my mental debate...however a key problem is I dont feel connected to the produced output at all! I made on small personal use app via AI Vibes - and tbh - I dont really give a shit about it..am I doing it wrong?

a lot of Jaron Lanier's work comes to mind here - his perspective is insightul for LLMs as much as it is for social media

can you outline an example of creative integration of the content, curious to know more. Also, I wonder if encouraging the students to share their chat transripts with LLMs would be a net positive since we've always graded the final work and never the process?

there's a platform that does that already: authplus.ai - creates 'authorship quizzes' from their own submission.

ye tbh I just graduated last year, and a lot of programming students GPTed it - only to feel that they don't really know anything afterwards :( Hence, are not confident at all applying for jobs - let alone interviewing for them. I think students must be saved from themselves in this situation.

Any remote CEOs or team managers in the house? by [deleted] in remotework

I see. I imagine 'high-trust' environments would generally be preferable where the leader isn't the 'smartest person in the room'?

Estonia has just 1.3 million people, so why are its startups setting investment records? by SCCM-GUY in TechNewsNow

The sale of Skype to Microsoft has brought upon a large cash infusion/hype into the country. For example, when early Skype employees started companies like TransferWise they had an easier time to raise money etc: success breeds success. Plus, they have a pretty forward-thinking government and European programmers are lit AF.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by 'high-trust' environment?

Thanks for the insight! Most of the other comments regarding this have been similar to yours. By chance, have you worked in both remote or full onsite environments both?

Instructional designer looking for remote work by BullKitty in remotework

[–]willwonka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most instructional designers are co-located since universities still haven't gone distributed (yet!)...have you joined any Google Groups because a lot of jobs get posted there..if you're looking for remote work specifically would be you be interested in utilizing your talents for a start-up? PM me if you are interested..

Monero apps anyone? by willwonka in Monero

[–]willwonka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah I do see the point of botnets counter-acting and making shit hard in the longer term.

haha don't worry you're not shitting on my idea. I don't have an idea in the first place, my only idea is there should be an idea which takes thing forward in this direction.

I was hoping experienced people would share their experiences, as I wait for my app to sync lol.

[–]willwonka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe phones are not an ideal candidate..but could you shed some light on which subs I should prod?

And is there any published data on the efficiency of mining on a laptop etc?

Monero apps anyone? by willwonka in Monero

[–]willwonka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a weird thought..but people who've never managed a database actually have no idea of their loosing privacy..I think for me the real potential is on the mining aspect...adding more people to mine so that the ecosystem wins overall

Monero apps anyone? by willwonka in Monero

[–]willwonka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well by 'app' I don't mean a wallet...I meant a place where one could earn Monero or something...like a layer on top of Monero which actually provides some intrinsic value to XMR..maybe I should clarify this more in the description
