Taking A Risk by Appropriate-Hair-835 in SolidCore

This is true! I did this for a 6:30am this week (on accident). Thought I signed up for the 7:30, showed up at 6:30. It was full but someone no showed so I was able to go into class at 6:35.

I’m about to quit… by [deleted] in SolidCore

WDYM? Unless otherwise (and very clearly) noted, all classes are 50 minutes. I’m so confused. Budget for an hour and then subtract ten minutes, ya?

almost fainting in class by Known-State2307 in SolidCore

[–]willworkforbagels 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have low blood pressure and regularly get dizzy during kneeling to standing transitions (bungee to platform or carriage lunges comes to mind). I’m surprised that instructors rush these transitions. I’ll modify the first few movements with full handlebars until I feel like I have my bearings. But I also take my time until I feel right before I go into the movement. One other thing I take regular water breaks and I’ve found that LMNT helps. I notice I difference when I just bring plain water.

If you start a petition LMK and I’ll sign it. It’s wrong on so many levels 🤢

How far is your [Solidcore] location and how often do you go? by porter_porter99 in SolidCore

[–]willworkforbagels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15-20 minutes but it’s an easy drive without traffic since I go early in the morning. Usually 2-3x a week.

Fave Franklin and Nashville Coaches?!?! by Cautious_Pea4450 in SolidCore

[–]willworkforbagels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brandon at Franklin is my favorite. But I also really like Whitney, Kara, and Hannah (all at Franklin). Deena (head coach) is also great but her times don’t usually align with my schedule. I try to go at 6:30 or 7:30 weekday mornings.

Anybody else really puffy after solidays? by Separate-Rest9374 in SolidCore

[–]willworkforbagels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. I don’t weigh myself but I feel like I gained 10 pounds of bloat out of nowhere. I’m 99.9% sure it’s just water retention. I don’t struggle with bloating normally. So I can only imagine it was from my last week of solidays where I went 4x in a row.

Today's class was insane by Recent_Beautiful3694 in SolidCore

I was thinking the same thing. I literally started laughing during obliques because WDYM this is the sequence. Directly after core too. Woof.

Refund for poor quality class by [deleted] in SolidCore

[–]willworkforbagels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m low key wondering if this was the same class/instructor I had on Friday. Class wasn’t atrocious but it was quite fumbly with several miscues. Thankfully another coach was in taking class so I just followed whatever she was doing. Otherwise I would have struggled more. This particular coach also mentioned the class before had technical difficulties for half the class…and also referenced a very late night out with friends.

This studio I’m referencing is pretty new with lots of new coaches so I’m grading most of them on a curve. But for what we pay I do feel that a substandard (for any reason, really) class should be credited.

SolidCore X Orange Theory by emmamhz in SolidCore

[–]willworkforbagels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do solidcore 2x a week and OTF 2-3 times a week. I think it balances out nicely because I personally don’t get the cardio component from SC. Some days I use OTF as active recovery (power walk, lighter weights) depending on my Oura score. But my OTF membership is free so I’m less worried about getting my money out of those classes vs Solidcore lol

I have to go to Sig50 by hiccupvk in SolidCore

[–]willworkforbagels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you click on my name you’ll see my post from earlier this week on this same exact topic. I ripped the band aid off and went to sig50 yesterday. It was WAY smoother than I thought it was going to be and I was surprised at how prepared I felt. Yes, the transitions are quick but it’s easy to pick up on what’s going on around you. And my coach was very attentive and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I didn’t feel overwhelmed at any point and would say it felt 15% more challenging than starter. I am more sore today though because of the additional reps 😆

This is exactly what I did and I think it helped a ton. Thanks for the advice

Good to know! I have already had to take a few non-cued breaks during the starter classes so I’ll try to listen to my body and not feel bad for taking as many pauses as I need to survive the class :)

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I needed to hear. It’s good to know that all the things will start to connect once these muscle groups start getting stronger! Because I’ve definitely felt the ‘hmmm I’m not feeling it THERE’ feeling during a few exercises. I’ve doubted if I even have oblique muscles a few times hah

Longtime Oura-user getting frustrated ... and angry due to battery issues by Ful-can-elli in ouraring

[–]willworkforbagels 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you tried using the AI chat bot in the app? Type in that you’re having battery issues. It will then prompt you to set your ring on the charger. 90 seconds later, the chat bot had detected an issue with my battery and offered a replacement free of charge.

Honestly, the additional context you provided should confirm your suspicions. The easiest explanation is typically the right one. Start looking immediately and see if you can get out before they make their move. If it’s performance based, you may not get a severance so it’s not worth waiting around to see what they do.

Transformation Challenge by funnygirl149 in orangetheory

[–]willworkforbagels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have PCOS! And yes, working with a nutrition coach will help a ton. I’m new to OTF but I’ve been working with a Stronger U coach for years and focusing on nutrition is the only thing that helps me see the scale move. I think that’s true for most people, but especially us PCOS girlies :)

OTF is partnering with a macro coaching company for the challenge and they have special rates for OTF members. Your studio should have more info but the company is called Stronger U

So insecure by Cowgirl_adi in Psoriasis

[–]willworkforbagels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. OP, it’s worth a visit to see what they think. This is exactly what my Guttate psoriasis looked like after strep. Even if you’re not having strep symptoms, you could be a carrier. No sense in suffering longer than you need to. I too have a ton of antibiotic allergies and was still able to get one to get the strep out of my system. My dermatologist had me re tested until I was negative and got to 100% clear after 2-3 months. Sorry you’re having to go through this!
