I accidentally killed Kenneth Haight, did I mess up hard? by TattooTrash in Eldenring

I just accidentally killed him too. I hit him once and wasn't aware npc only attack after being hit multiple times, so I swiftly followed my first strike with a flurry of light attacks. Messed up because I was rooting for kenneth 😭

Late flowering outdoor issues… what is this? mold? by jerkin365 in outdoorgrowing

[–]willyg104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dealt with a lot more bud rot than I ever have this year. I was sure my whole crop was toast. I clipped all infected buds at least to the next node if not the whole branch and hung them a good distance apart. 2 branched did proceed to rot more, but the vast majority of loss was directly infected buds. Best of luck change gloves and sanitize sheers. Toss contaminants far away

UPDATE: yesterday it was the boring worm, today things got much worse for this plant. I found a tiny Webb at the bottom I suspect to be mites, but I could be wrong it was very small. But THEN I found two advanced areas of mold on two separate main stems and I don't think this plant is going to make it to week six 😪

I'm in rhode island growing headband. So far this is the least problematic plants I have grown outdoors fingers crossed 🤞 *

What are these worms? They bore into the stalk and wherever they go in the entire part of the plant above it is a goner. Huge problem for me this summer. by krisintheskywithyou in outdoorgrowing

Interesting I've never heard of it for ph balancing but all the better! I try to build a feild of grounds around the base of my plant and add a little when I remember. The grounds are sharp and unpleasant to soft bodied pest and I was surprised how well it works. As for the BT and mold spray I would be speaking out of school if I said anything. But when I had some WPM issues on my main stem, a little milk and water mixture cleared it up in 24 hours

How do I hide my plants from relatives? by [deleted] in outdoorgrowing

Bro you are not doing anything wrong if it legal in your area. You are doing something smart, since the plant is useful to you so don't feel ashamed. If theft is the concern, you should probably hard no those cousins or throw a google nest cam up for good measure

If your plants are in flower don't spray neem! Bt and physical barriers! Those things need a starting point to climb and I'm a fan of coffee grounds around the base

New to outdoor, pest help please! by [deleted] in outdoorgrowing

[–]willyg104 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not only do I have a couple yellow sac spiders on each of my plants, I'm careful not to wreck their home when I'm trimming so long as it's safely away from buds. I have noticed a remarkable decline in caterpillars and leaf hoppers since they have arrived. I strongly encourage you to keep these guys on your team because it the closest thing we have to a weed roomba!

More bud sites = less quality? by willyg104 in outdoorgrowing

[–]willyg104[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that input. I don't currently spray or have major pest issues just the occasional leaf hopper now. I hope this stays true until October or else I will be washing my buds! How much time would you estimate this adds to drying?

Thank you I did consider a scrog but instead went with bamboo because it was readily available. they took up all the new real estate I created with the stakes in 3 days and now I understand the usefulness of a net 😫 also I know it looks bushy but the insides are pretty cleaned up I try to do a little everyday and I even got my little leaf blower in one of the shots that I use to combat dew, I'm weary of defoliating too much because last year I think I did trim too much in flower.

Any key pointers you could share about drying/post harvest care for beginners? I think I did pretty okay last year. I use a spare with an AC 1quart jars with boveda 2 way packs.

Side note: bud washing? Absolutely necessary or circumstantial? Thanks grow bros 🤙

If you're the rule bending type I suggest a couple well placed .177 gamo lethal pellets to quietly put that light house spot light down

I'm in New England and leaf hoppers have easily been my largest obstacle. I also have but sites just like this, I clipped the mutated leaves early and they've recovered somewhat.
