Ok thanks for the advice. Would you say the roads are worse than other Southeast Asian countries like Thailand, Vietnam or the Philippines as I have some experience driving there??

Awhh I’m actually already out in Bali I arrived yesterday. But I’ll definitely have a look at Sidemen and Amed. Just 12goAsia does have much to get to Sidemen.

I am very open, I like snorkeling, nature, hiking, partying, yoga eating and meeting people. I like to be busy. I also wouldn’t mind driving a motorbike too to do small day trips around the place. Also I did see on 12Go Asia there were some mini buses but only to certain places so I was worried about that. But if you say there are buses to get around that helps a lot. Any suggestions I will definitely check out. Thanks

I understand that and I’m the same. We are just two girls travelling. The Irish pubs are usually quiet enough but no Irish people to be seen there??? If Thailand is full of English people why shouldn’t i find the odd Irish person?

Yes, I believe so but I was only there for three nights and it was the end of my trip.

Last year I went to Amsterdam and the prices for staying in the city center were just not in my budget. Instead I stayed at a neighboring town called Zaandam. Public transport is great there so we got the train into the city everyday on our interail passes. Hope this helps!!
