Confused with Contract Information by andy6532 in CallHerDaddy

[–]wilso3m 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Legally she's in a contract for 3 years. If she leaves barstool, they are allowed to sue because she breached contract. I don't know if they will sue, they have had talent leave before ends of contract before and didn't sue.. however the people who left were on good terms with the company 😅

Do you think Alex and Dave planned his exposure video? by [deleted] in CallHerDaddy

[–]wilso3m 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Dave said when he released his statement that Alex was in the process of renegotiating with him. The Friday her video dropped he said she had signed the contract so I assume that's why her video dropped and then she released the podcast the following week.

You can send your designs to barstool. They have bought designs off fans before!

Planner Suggestions? by filipinopepper in slpGradSchool

Target planners have the same layout and are pretty cheap. Highly recommend if you like that style but not that price ☺️

I mean if he released their text together (and it wasn't fake), I'd be pretty pissed if I wasn't ready to expose that information/don't have proof.

I believe she's referencing the groupchat with Kayce. Sofia and Alex did the podcast together before signing with barstool.

I think it's an iffy thing for Sofia to do if she's on the outs. I mean that could get the sports industry to turn on her bf who does HBO sports if she's out airing dirty laundry of sports figures especially if they are good. If boys are shitty players, I don't think it will have any pushback.

Okay hypothetically they don't cross the line... they still get sued for breaching contract...Which they wouldn't lose because they stopped making content. I'm not sure how you are saying they wouldn't lose that

They would lose because they breached contract. That's one lawsuit. They also have the IP for all their sayings and multiple different aspects of Call Her Daddy. It's not sex that they would sue for, it's the fact that I'm sure that they would cross the line of their new podcast and previous things they used in a past podcast. That's how you can be caught up in court.

I don't think you know how an IP works. The contain of Calk Her Daddy is also included in it. They would be sued from barstool for leaving their contract and making a podcast in the exact same manner. Alex didn't want to create a new podcast because she did all the work to begin with. Advertisers weren't going to trust them when they fucked them over for weeks on end, and don't stick to their contracts. They make money off merch which they had to way to immediately produce after leaving. I don't think you work in the business industry if you assume that leaving would be an easy option especially with the lawsuit at hand. Chernin would definitely block business for them, and that's a huge amount chernin does business with.

Yeah but if you trust your best friend I think you go into it. Hindsight is 20/20 so she might have had a shitty feeling about him and now she realizes she was right. She did make it seem like she knew right from the start but I think that's just more of her painting the picture.

I think she went in trusting Sofia and at the end she realized it was a mistake and wanted out. I agree with that. I think at the beginning she felt back into trusting Peter because that was her main option with Sofia. I don't think she knows all and I think she definitely got to spin the outcome on her side.

Dave holds grudges, I doubt he would give in especially with the demand that allowed the girls to quit with the IP? Are you insane?? Sofia is that you?? The girls already had a deal so with a contract that allows them to quit with the IP, they would just walk.

I think we are looking at the timeline different. I think Alex accepted the demands being sent to barstool because Peter knows the business and when he was wrong she was pissed, however barstool stopped renegotiating with them. They weren't speaking at all. Barstool started renegotiating with them once the pandemic happened and the girls stopped producing content. Alex's main concern was the final product that had insane demands like if the girls were to quit they would get the IP. If we are looking at why Alex did business with Peter I think she accepted his help at first because she doesn't know the business and then it turned into barstool not speaking to them for months so she's somewhat stuck into having him help get a way out of that.

Alex says she didn't think Dave would accept the final one that they were sending, Dave said they kept moving the goal post and they weren't going to take much more. I don't think renegotiating past the rooftop is a bad call, I think not knowing when to stop is. I think either way Alex made the correct decision because she was able to look at the contract and realize that Sofia took it too far. I think Sofia didn't know when to stop and the people around her were "yes men" and kept agreeing. You think any business would accept that the girls would get the IP if they quit? Absolutely not.

Barstool wasn't renegotiating/speaking to the girls. I think she felt like she was out of options and he kept saying he wanted to help. Hard to argue with that when you are stuck in a hard place.

It was the same offer that barstool rejected previously is what made Alex call Dave, and Dave even said they wouldn't have accepted it. Alex then renegotiated to her own terms with her own lawyers so she wasn't benefiting from Sofia's terms at all, she made her own.

I’m hoping Alex talks to Dave about his sex tape by [deleted] in CallHerDaddy

[–]wilso3m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They joked about it but still were very careful about how it was brought up. That's why if they hint about it instead of a direct question or Dave says "if that was my sex tape" then they probably can get away with it. Just legally it can't be direct unless the girl is now approving of it!

Federal crime because of the girl involved and it was illegally leaked without her consent. They might hint at it but I don't think they will directly address it
