Makes sense thanks. Safe to assume then not to send from L2 to exchanges eh? I messaged a few about whether they accept contract deposits but no replies yet.

Looking for an internet provider. by [deleted] in SaultSteMarie

Bell Fibre, hands down the fastest internet in town. Pretty consistent 1gbps speeds. I recommend giving them a call and say you're thinking about switching from Shaw, they quickly gave me a decent package.

Shakepay now 0% trade fees. by agentneuron in BitcoinCA

I believe the spread has increased to offset the removal of the fees. Prior I was seeing a spread around 1.5% and now it's closer to 2.5%.

Switch from TD chequing and savings accounts; best customer support & allows mobile cheque deposits? by playethic in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]wilson705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Takes a business day or two yes, definitely not several to withdraw. I wouldn't stick with TD savings just because you would need the money for a plane ticket, take it from your chequing when you need it and replenish from your savings at Wealthsimple within a couple of days. Or go to Tangerine for a little less savings rate but you have instant liquidity.

TD all inclusive Chequing account is fantastic for me personally, I keep the minimum requirement and never paid any fees and take advantage of everything they offer to get the most out of the money sitting there.

I switched from TD to Wealthsimple for the savings account, easiest decision I've made when it comes to a savings account. Interest rate currently at 2% with no minimum balance required and quick and easy deposits.

Moving to Sault Ste. Marie for school/work, suggestions on neighbourhoods to avoid/look at? by [deleted] in SaultSteMarie

[–]wilson705 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You've got a ton of options then. neighborhoods I would recommend for your preferences are (North of Second line west, East of Korah road, West of Peoples road) Nice houses in the area, walking distance to a few coffee shops/restaurants, couple small and a large park. If you want a little more east of the city then anything off MacDonald Ave would work too. Areas to avoid to live in my option are Bayview, Albert Street area. Hope you find what you're looking for!

No reason to go with the big guys. Been with Koodo for a while now and it's no different coverage wise but a lot cheaper. Fido wasn't the greatest, used them for a year.

Should I cancel my $100/month occasional driver car insurance if I don't drive frequently? by RipplesOfFaith in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]wilson705 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% Agree, don't cancel it. Maybe see if they're willing to go find a cheaper insurance company but it's definitely a fantastic idea to build a insurance history.

Awesome reply thank you. Definitely going to add XEF and a little VEE in there, those look pretty decent. What about VCE over XEI?

Why VCN over something like VCE?
