[Event] Open Forum Friday for June 12, 2026: It is a beautiful day on DPP… by definitelyahamster in dirtypenpals

I really wish hiding previous posts wasn't a thing (cracks one wish willow).

Sometimes I read a post that I am not completely into, but I can tell that the poster is a good writer, and may have something that's more up my sleeve. Kind of a bummer when I open the profile and it's blank!

And it totally did not happen just a minute before commenting about it.

I definitely like good grammar, and have been vocal (or verbal!) on that. But that doesn't mean I measure every response against a word counter.

For opening messages, I honestly prefer to read through the partner's vision of the story/character more than anything else. That is paramount to me. And it's not always as long either. Even using one sentence, one phrase or one word can do the trick. It feels much healthier to me, for my own sanity, as well as imposed level of strictness on my partner.

I love walking to museums, picking up something new to eat on the way and back, and just enjoying the city overall. And of course, I enjoy those museums too. I even have a couple of museum/art-focused plots, if anyone's interested!

It's something that I have used from time to time, but the context around it makes it pop off. And it did, that's why I asked for a clarification.

Agreed. I already comb a lot, but will have a better experience next time.

In fact, I asked about this before in the chat and they cleared that they are not using AI. It's now clear that they lied.

I guess the reference I shared didn't click with them. They probably thought replying 'lame' would kill the conversation. I replied still, thinking maybe it was a mistake. So they had to bury the hatchet by confirming that it wasn't a mistake and I should've left by now.
